Disappointing stable debut but much more like it when third over this trip at Haydock latest and off the same mark (career low) he is certainly an each way candidate.
Lightly raced daughter of Farhh finished third of 10 at Windsor on handicap debut over 1m last week and off the same mark she ought to go close with further progress likely.
Wolverhampton winner on handicap debut over the extended 1m trip where he got up to win by a neck. 2lb rise no problem but stall 15 could be another matter.
Off the mark when winning a Wolverhampton maiden over 7f last time out and shown enough to be of interest on handicap debut for prolific connections.
Nine-race maiden but getting ever closer with C&D third (beaten less than 1L) and Beverley second over 7½f suggesting breakthrough imminent; leading player.
Couple of second to end last year and start this but two disappointing runs since suggest better options lie elsewhere.
7f Wolverhampton winner been third since at Kempton and back at Wolves over 1m. Draw not ideal by any means but if she can overcome that she can go close here.
Third of four at Southwell (1m) and sixth of 11 at York (7f) all this gelding has on his CV so far. Best watched on handicap debut unless market speaks positively.
1m course winner at two but underwhelming afterwards so probably watched on first race since dismal showing at Kempton last November.
Handicap debut for this filly who showed a modicum of ability in three novice races. Suspect she will need a lower mark and more time to strike.
Well-bred Dubawi filly from a top yard but not shown a huge amount in four starts although there was a glimmer of hope at Doncaster last time. Others preferred.
Nothing to suggest him in five starts so far so hopes largely lie with the first-time headgear.
Dawn Approach gelding making little inroads so far and again looks best watched after being well held at Leicester latest; back in trip.
Evidence of three qualifiers limited but at least has gotten in relatively low down the weights so hopefully can do a little better now.
Beaten double digit lengths in three qualifiers so even a feather weight not enough to have any great optimism today.
Forecasts
Arafi (5/2), Goodwood Rebel (5/1), Jaaneh (11/2), Ascraeus (7/1), Luna Wish (10/1), Falconidae (11/1), Shining Aitch (12/1), Divine Connection (14/1), Astroman (16/1), Olivers Pursuit (22/1), Master Rocco (33/1), Cold War Steve (50/1), Alsukar (66/1), Am I Dreaming (80/1), Flying Fairy (80/1)
After two really good efforts to start this season Hugo Palmer's FALCONIDAE gets the vote with course form another feather in his cap. In an open enough contest Windsor third Arafi and handicap debutant Ascraeus who won at Wolverhampton latest are also to be respected.
- Falconidae
- Arafi
- Ascraeus
