Improved notably on debut effort to make a winning seasonal reappearance over C&D. 5lb worse off with Make Haste Slowly but could confirm the form given how well the yard are going and she didn't get the clearest of runs that day.
Mowed down in the final strides by newcomer Arrow Of Gold at Thirsk (1m4f; good) last week. Marginal drop back in trip looks the right move, and he should be bang there given he is off level weights with Hey Gracie this time round.
Represented himself respectably when fourth behind impressive Godolphin winner Yuri Gagarin at this track 16 days ago. Unlikely to bump into anything of that calibre, but this is still a decent looking race on paper. Place claims at least.
Not been seen since finishing lame at Newcastle when last of seven in November 2018. Seems notable that connections have kept the faith with him despite 587-day absence. Form of debut effort is solid and he is one to keep an eye on in the betting.
Won with a bit to spare on debut at Wolverhampton (1m1f; standard). Form of the race is ordinary but the step up in trip should suit. Concern as to why he was subsequently sold to new connections. Returns from 131-day absence, and has claims.
Can't be taken seriously in this warm affair after failing to make an impression on debut over a furlong shorter at this track when sent off at 66/1. Remains best watched until offering some encouragement.
Finished in front of Siempre Rapido when fourth on debut at Newbury (1m2f; good). Form of that contest looks strong after the runner-up came out and won at Haydock last week. Yard/jockey both in good form and is considered.
Yards newcomers tend to come on notably from their debut efforts. Wasn't given a hard time of things when sixth of seven in a warm Newbury (1m2f; good to soft) contest. Must be given plenty of respect representing these connections.
By Fastnet Rock. Gelded ahead of debut. Cost 10,000gns as a yearling and is closely related to three winners. Yard had a couple of winners last week but he is best watched unless market speaks in his favour.
Finished sixth in a decent contest at Newbury (1m2f; good) on seasonal debut but never looked like too much of a threat. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and will be of greater interest in that sphere.

Forecasts
Inherent (5/4), Media Storm (7/2), Red Centre (4/1), Hey Gracie (10/1), Carausius (14/1), Make Haste Slowly (18/1), Merry Yarn (28/1), Tindrum (28/1), Siempre Rapido (33/1), Scarborough Castle (66/1), Badreputation (125/1)
Another well contested heat with Red Centre probably the most intriguing one given he hasn't been seen for over a year, while Merry Yarn was fourth behind a potential group class performer at this track last time. Recent C&D rivals Hey Gracie and Make Haste Slowly are hard to split with the latter better off at the weights. The former is fancied to confirm the form given she looks open to further improvement, but we'll take a chance on INHERENT who receives 12lbs from the aforementioned pair. The selection is expected to come on considerably from his low-key debut effort in what looked a hot race as so many from this yard do.
- Inherent
- Hey Gracie
- Make Haste Slowly
