Canford Cliffs colt took a step forward in second when a close third of five at Newmarket over 6f. Led 100 yards out there so reverting to 5f a likely positive and rates a leading player here.
Stepped up from his debut at Newcastle (5f, slow) when showing a little more over the same trip at Doncaster (5f, good). Oisin Murphy aboard last time prefers Bungledupinblue but certainly merits consideration.
Backed into odds-on (8/15F) on debut at Newcastle but never involved after a slow start. Clearly well regarded and from yard with a fantastic record with two-year-olds here so has to be considered.
Gelded newcomer by Havana Gold a half-brother to an ordinary 6f AW winner. Yard record suggests him best watched here.
Slightly better effort in second start at Windsor (sixth of 12) over 6f but would need a greater leap forward to go close here.
Third of 12 at Newmarket on debut and second of three to odds-on fav last time at Sandown. Form to go close with fillies allowance and has champion jockey up for the first time.
Daughter of Exceed And Excel only beaten 1L when second of four on debut at Yarmouth and certainly one to shortlist on the basis of that performance where she was always prominent.
Beaten 17L on debut here and 11L subsequently at Windsor so hard to fancy and looks a longer term project.

Different Face (5/2), Emirati Dirham (7/2), Identified (4/1), Cliffcake (4/1), Bungledupinblue (6/1), Ehrmann (14/1), Porfin (33/1), Jaffathegaffa (50/1), Trixie Mitskie (100/1)
Several of these runners went close last time out albeit most of them in small fields making the form a little difficult to quantify. Richard Hannon's CLIFFCAKE just about gets the verdict with his third at Newmarket looking strong form and the pace he showed there would suggest dropping back to the minimum distance can be beneficial. Another one to run well at HQ and subsequently Sandown is the filly Bungledupinblue who rates the principle threat although it would be no surprise if Identified makes a major step forward now having been an 8/15 favourite on debut.
- Cliffcake
- Bungledupinblue
