Stable in top-class form currently; completed a hat-trick last year (won first/second time out for yard), continued to run well after that wining spree. Rare por effort when last seen (had been on the go a long time); drops in grade for reappearance.
Took back-to-back Ffos Las handicaps last August over 1m4f/1m6f in headgear both times; ran no sort of race twice after that. Bounced back with a career-best on return at Newmarket (1m4f, good), no headgear, task is now to back up under a penalty.
Ended last season on an upbeat note taking advantage of a reduced mark to score at his home-from-home Carlisle (7.8f, soft). Easy to back on return at Pontefract (1m2f, good), shaped encouragingly, should come on for that, trip a slight worry.
Enjoyed a productive 2019 winning four times at up to 12.2f on turf/AW although he now has to prove himself off this mark. Better than he could show on reappearance (left with too much to do) at Lingfield, AW (1m4f), one to consider given his record.
Dual handicap winner last year over longer trips and on softer ground (prominently ridden both times). Finished the season with a good Doncaster effort (did best of those ridden on the pace), back from wind surgery, best watched for now.
Chelmsford 1m2f winner last year off 4lb lower for Ed Vaughan; sold 30,000gns prior to making a winning hurdling debut for this yard. Ran respectably here last time after four month break (10.2f, good), should come on for that run upped in trip.

First division of a decent little handicap with a few of these appealing as likely winners. Tigerskin on his second run back from wind surgery again without headgear and under a penalty for his Newmarket win does have to prove himself again although he did score back-to-back wins last year. Funny Man from the in-form O’Meara yard may just find he needs this outing over a trip that trip that looks on the short side but both BLUE MEDICI and The Dancing Poet should come on for their reappearance runs. The former of that duo endured a rather luckless run last time and with the master of Haydock – Richard Kingscote – on board is taken to open his 2020 account.
