Returned from a long absence (15 months) when shaping with some promise at Leicester (1m2f, good/firm) off a 2lb higher mark. Had shown ability prior to that, interesting to see if he can build on that off a lowly mark in a basement grade.
Three-time handicap winner at Newcastle over 10.2f from September to January (shaped well in a couple of runs over the same C&D after the last win). Poor on return to Newcastle on reappearance over a trip that was too short (7.1f), should be sharper.
Useful hurdler for Dr Richard Newland although he never quite went on from his early novice wins in that sphere. Ran well on his debut for this yard on AW (12.2f) at Wolverhampton finishing third off this mark, worth a second look back on turf.
Has a career record that reads 1-31 which hardly inspires and a low-key return on debut for this yard did very little to enhance the view of his chance. Drops to career-low mark but hard to fashion much of a chance on the evidence presented.
Well held in minor AW events at up to 9.5f last year never really getting involved at any stage; but does gain a mark. May well be seen in a better light now in this sphere trying turf for the first-time with cheekpieces on, watch for market move.
Scored over hurdles for the first time at Wetherby in March (2m, heavy) prior to racing going into hibernation. Not seen on the Flat for this yard, well below his last winning Flat mark (has handicapping scope), worth considering off this lowly mark.
Flat/hurdles winner for this yard although her efforts in both spheres this year have been modest to say the least. Not disgraced back on the Flat last time (first time since September 2018) at Pontefract (1m4f, good), well weighted on hurdles form.
Modest Flat form (well held over hurdles/jumpers bumper); showed more than previously last time in a Beverley maiden (9.9f, good/soft). Finished midfield, now makes handicap debut in a lowly grade, hung badly left last time, others more positive.
Returns from a year off having shown only modest form during a long losing run which now stretches back to May 2017. Mark has plummeted in that time but he's been unable to take advantage - hard to see him bouncing back now.
Maiden (0-9) whose antics at the start are making him increasingly one to avoid. Slow away on a number of occasions he virtually refused to race at Redcar (1m2f, good/soft) last time, one who would if supported come with jeopardy attached.

Competition (15/8), Travel Lightly (9/2), Nine Elms (6/1), Ritchie Star (6/1), Sir Gnet (8/1), Kiraleah (9/1), Corked (12/1), Dark Devil (12/1), Somewhat Sisyphean (16/1), Oceanus (20/1), Maskoon (25/1), Oliver's Betty (28/1), Boycie (33/1), Tommy Shelby (50/1)
The lowest grade handicap on the card and an unappealing one as an investment medium. Nine Elms has less convictions than most so despite topweight he’s considered if he can build on the promise he showed last time. Competition and Oceanus are both winning hurdlers who have some mileage at this level on the Flat while Ritchie Star has as good a chance as he’s ever had to break his maiden but does tend to find the crossbar rather than the back of the net. Therefore CORKED is the speculative recommendation returned to a more suitable trip after being sharpened up over 7f last time. Kiraleah with cheekpieces in first-time is worth noting for a market move.
