Free Eagle colt; dam 7½f 2yo winner (stayed 1m2f), half-sister to useful 1m-1m6f Flat/smart hurdle winner Parlour Games out of 1m2f-1m4f Group 1 (inc Irish Oaks) winner. Promising newcomer.
Expensive Sea The Stars yearling; promising debut at the Curragh (7f, good to yielding; 50-1) when fifth behind Armoury. Hasn't really built on that in two further starts but remains with plenty potential. Cheekpieces added.
150,000 gns yearling; half-brother to seven winners inc Puncher Clynch (1m-1m2f inc 2yo/AW/Group 3), Jellicle Ball (7f AW 2yo) and Aquilla (1m4f); dam placed 1m1f-1m4f, granddaughter of Irish 1,000/Yorkshire Oaks winner. Cheekpieces on for debut.
60,000 gns yearling; brother to 1m2f winner He's Amazing, half-brother to winners Belle Royale (5f-1m2f inc GB 2yo/US 1m1f Grade 1), Under Fire (1m-1m2f; inc AW) and Fire At Will (7f AW). One of two for Joseph O'Brien.
Australia colt out of Inchinor mare; cost 115,000 gns as a yearling. Should have learned from Dundalk debut in March and be sharper now. Second runner for Joseph O'Brien; market a good guide.
Australia gelding, dam Group-placed 7f 2yo winner, half-sister to 6f 2yo winner Play Misty For Me (dam of 1m4f Gr 3 winner Quest For Peace) and useful 1m-1m2f winner Beaumont's Party. Market will reveal plenty.
Colt by Nathaniel out of a Marju mare; some promise in Curragh maidens (7f, soft/1m2f, good to firm) either side of winter break; could be more to come going up in trip again.
Daughter of Dansili out of a Galileo mare; far from disgraced on debut in Thurles Fillies Maiden (1m, yielding; 14-1) in October (winner Group 1 winner since). Back from a break and should be able to get in the shake-up here for Dermot Weld.
Forecasts
Zanahiyr (11/4), Hint Of Stars (4/1), Hook Head (9/2), Lilli Milena (5/1), Ayre's Hawk (13/2), Monopoly (12/1), Hy Brasil (20/1), Sonny Bill (25/1)
A tough contest to pick apart and a chance is offered to LILLI MILENA stepping up in distance for Dermot Weld and Oisin Orr. She shaped with purpose in one run last year in a Thurles maiden that worked out well and she offer more now. She's entered in the Irish Oaks and this would be a stepping stone towards that target. Zanahiyr and Hints Of Stars have scope for improvement too, while newcomers Ayre's Hawk and Hook Head need close monitoring for confidence.
- Lilli Milena
- Zanahiyr
- Hook Head
