€48,000 foal, €60,000 yearling; half-brother to Italian 1m2f-1m2½f winner Red Desert; dam 1m2f AW/1m5f turf winner, half-sister to UAE 1m2f dirt Listed winner Haatheq and US 1m Grade 3 winner Farhaan out of 6f 2yo Listed winner. Respected source.
€28,000 yearling; half-brother to winners Tumbaga (7f/1m AW), James Lane (US 1m dirt), Smooth Quality (US 6½f dirt) & Rediscover (US 7½f-1m½f turf); dam US 1m-1m1f GSP turf winner (stayed 1m4f). Commands respect first time out from these quarters.
€17,000 yearling; dam placed 1m AW, half-sister to 1m5½f Group 2 winner Bernimixa, 1m5½f Group 3 winner Miraculous and 1m4½f Listed winner Winkle. Colin Keane up on debut, worth a look and perhaps more likely of two for Noel Meade.
€5,000 yearling; half-brother to 2m/2m1f hurdle winner Lady Shanawell and winner in Morocco; dam French 1m2f 2yo winner, half-sister to Group-placed 7½f-1m3f GB/Italy winner Pythius and Listed-placed 6f/7f winner Sacha Park. Second runner for yard.
Sepoy colt. Cost €6,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners including the fairly talented 6f two-year-old winner Rusumaat. Attractive enough on paper but this is a hot race to start off in & stable are without a winner for 297 days.
€8,000 yearling by Power out of an Exceed And Excel mare; beaten 6L finishing ninth of 18 on debut this month at Naas (6f, good to firm; 80-1) and could get competitive here if building on that.
€5,500 yearling; dam well beaten 7f-1m4f, out of 1m4f winner closely related to useful 2m1f-2m4f hurdle/chase winner Glenstal Abbey and half-sister to Group-placed 7f/1m winner Margay; others preferred here.
From the first crop of 2015 Coventry Stakes winner Buratino; placed both starts so far including over 5f here 13 days behind useful sort. Sets clear standard of those that have run and likely player.
Forecasts
The Blue Panther (10/11), Laws Of Indices (3/1), Street Kid (7/1), Vafortino (11/1), Thebeaujolaispope (16/1), Evergreen And Red (25/1), King Wasp (33/1), Stop On Red (40/1)
THE BLUE PANTHER was doing his best work at the finish behind subsequent Windsor Castle fifth Chief Little Hawk on his return here over 5f earlier in the month. With improvement come and this extra furlong favourable; Gary Carroll's mount can likely go one better now. Laws Of Indices should also improve from debut while Vafortino, Street Kid and Thebeaujolaispope are newcomers of some note.
- The Blue Panther
- Street Kid
- Vafortino
