Three time winner including over 7f at this venue but finished well held on his final two starts for previous stable and it was a similar story on debut for this yard over 5f here in February. Well handicapped on his old form.
Promising 4½L on his return to action in a handicap over this trip at Kempton at the start of this month. Tried to make all that day and is one to note racing off a mark 2lb higher than when victorious over this C&D in December.
C&D winner was making his first start of the year when finishing a well held seventh in a 12 runner 5f handicap at Beverley on Wednesday. Probably best watched at present.
Disappointing on his final four starts of last year and was beaten 7L when sixth in a handicap over this trip on seasonal reappearance at Kempton earlier this month. Market support would be notable having won over C&D in the past.
Run well on both starts this month most recently when 4L fourth in a 5f handicap at Beverley (good) on Wednesday. Previously finished 1L third over this trip at Lingfield and holds strong claims in this contest.
C&D winner finished a good 2½L second in a handicap over 5f here in March. Fair 8L eighth over 5f at Beverley (good) recently on his only subsequent start and he is one to note on his return to the AW.
Best effort so far came when 2L fourth in a 5f event on handicap debut at Southwell in February. Racing from out of the handicap with cheekpieces worn for the first time that day dispensed with.
Decent effort when beaten 2L into fifth in a 5f contest at Chelmsford in December. Absent since finishing a disappointing last of nine over the same trip here the following month and is probably best watched racing from out of the weights.
Forecasts
One One Seven (5/2), Qaaraat (10/3), It Must Be Faith (6/1), Creek Harbour (6/1), Astrophysics (7/1), Pushkin Museum (17/2), Jeans Maite (14/1), Storm Lightning (40/1)
ONE ONE SEVEN is one of four previous C&D winners in this event and he is taken to register a victory on his return to the AW in this intriguing contest. The selection ran a fair race at Beverley on his most recent outing and he can get the better of his rivals here with fellow C&D winner Qaaraat capable of claiming second having finished fourth on his most recent start. Third place can go to Ihe veteran It Must Be Faith who filled the same position on his most recent outing.
- One One Seven
- Qaaraat
- It Must Be Faith
