Filly who has had plenty of chances to break her duck (0-9); that said, she can't be knocked for consistency; ought to be thereabouts on the basis of her recent C&D second to Rains Of Castamere; non-runner at Newmarket (Fri).
All downhill from September onward, and is now fully exposed as a poor maiden (0-7); well beaten in a 1m Lingfield seller on his final juvenile start; safely ignored.
Slow-burner; only glimmers of promise in three previous starts; switches to handicapping off a lowly mark, and in first-time cheekpieces; dam was a winner between 6f & 1m2f; note any strong positive market move.
A mere 2lb higher than when springing a 33-1 surprise on the Polytrack at Lingfield (7f) in December; this race won't take a great deal of winning; certainly one of the more interesting candidates.
Jinked and unseated her rider leaving the stalls here (6f) 19 days ago; can only be watched at present on what is effectively her 'debut' for Gary Moore.
With Richard Spencer when runner-up on debut at Chelmsford (7f) last October; 0-3 since joining this trainer for £10,000 (December 2019); needs a major revival, and that's considered highly unlikely.
Has fallen sharply in the weights (10lb or so) since being well-backed on handicap debut here (6f) early in the New Year, but it's a major challenge to draw any real positives from his recent form; stablemate of Penny Diamond.
Regressive on the AW since winning a Leicester seller (7f, good to firm) in September; is probably worth another spin back on turf at some point in the future.
18-race maiden; competes from a similar mark as to when a staying on fourth to Inductive at Wolverhampton (7f) in February.
Well beaten on all three starts to date (6f-7f), although was able to lie up closer to the pace in a weak novice here in February; lines up for handicap debut.
Paid the price for going off quickly (weakened tamely) on handicap debut at Lingfield (1m2f) earlier this calendar year; deserves another chance back over a shorter trip; talented 3lb claimer Cieren Fallon takes the mount.
Off the track for 205-days since finishing seventh of 12 (50-1) to Moondance over 1m (here); stablemate of Gift Of Youth.
Forecasts
Feel Good Factor (10/3), Annie Quickstep (10/3), Le Reveur (7/2), Cool To Be A Cat (6/1), Penny Diamond (14/1), Fact Or Fable (16/1), Gift Of Youth (16/1), Twittering (18/1), Trigger Happy (22/1), Jim 'n' Tomic (22/1), Jungle Boogaloo (25/1), The Fitzpiers Lion (40/1)
A weak contest, which offers a perfectly suitable opportunity for the cheek-pieced Le Reveur to make his handicap debut, and any form of positive market move should be followed. However, a marginal preference is for the well-drawn ANNIE QUICKSTEP who sits just 2lb higher than when springing a 33-1 surprise at Lingfield in December. Others worthy of consideration include Feel Good Factor (second start over 7f) and the Ian-Williams trained Cool To Be A Cat.
- Annie Quickstep
- Le Reveur
- Feel Good Factor
