Improved last season on softer ground and having got off the mark at Thirsk, closed the campaign with a fair second over 6f at Hamilton. The return to this trip is in his favour and any rain that falls is a plus.
Didn't really progress last term but as a result finds himself in the lowest grade he has ever raced in now and lost a shoe on Newcastle comeback so entitled to come on for that and looks one for the short list.
Off the mark in first time cheekpieces in Catterick maiden last summer but didn't progress after and they are left off today. Uusally goes from the front but needs to improve to double his career tally here.
Several placed efforts last year without winning. First run over this short a trip since 2018 and on balance others make more appeal.
Has an excellent record first time out and won at Doncaster on comeback last year but the worry is the trip as he does virtually all his racing at 6f and hasn't stayed the extra furlong when trying it in the past.
Has gained all three on the AW but is has some placed efforts to his name on turf and is well treated on return to this surface. Now 9lb lower than when last seen on it in 2918.
Sole win was gained at this track last May over 1m and although unable to follow that up, he was running in stronger grade afterwards and now respected back on the that last winning mark.
Had a busy time of it on the AW during the winter but although a maiden on grass, is on a fair mark on return to this surface and wouldn't have to improve much to play prominent role.
Ordinary form to date in trio of maidens and handicap debut. Could be open to improvement but on evidence to date, hard to make a positive case for.
Has dropped 23lb since the start of last season so no doubt is really well treated if able to recapture his best but that hasn't looked on the cards for a while and would like to see more before getting involved.
10 race maiden who ran up to best only attempt at this far last time. but needs a bit more to get off the mark though lightly raced enough for that to happen.
Lightly raced maiden and much improved on second run for this yard when runner-up at Newcastle recently. Has a fitness edge over most of these and tongue-tie now added. Obvious contender.
Lightly raced and showed a lot of improvement following wind surgery and gelding operation to land a gamble at Yarmouth on recent comeback. That was on firm ground but 3lb rise in this lower class contest has to be make him of serious interest.

GINGER MAX looked a different proposition on comeback but the market suggested that was expected and with few miles on the clock there should be more to come. Phantasmal is also lightly raced and like the selection. should have his best days still ahead of him and along with Verdigris make most appeal of the remainder.
