Solid and consistent type on the AW at Dundalk over the winter including a victory over 7f in January. Any market support could be significant on return to action.

Goes well in big-handicap and has included a win in a 17-runner contest at Ayr over a similar trip last July off a 3lb lower mark. Looks on a handy mark with a number of conditions to suit and could go well at a price.

Not disgraced in a number of starts on the AW at Dundalk between the turn of the year and March before running well in defeat on return to action at Navan over a shorter trip earlier this month. Racing 12lb lower than last winning mark.

Winner of two of his 23 career starts but the Pivotal gelding is still searching for a breakthrough success in five starts on turf. Running with credit on the AW at Dundalk in March and one for any shortlist here.

Improving filly last term, hitting the frame in tow of her four career starts. Needs to put behind her a dismal return to action in a Naas handicap over a similar trip earlier this month on stable debut. Not one to place a great deal of faith in.

Posted a career best effort on his most recent start in a Dundalk 7f handicap on the AW in December. Positives outweigh the negatives in this contest in first-time visor.

Winner over C&D when landing a nine-runner maiden 12 months ago at odds of 33/1 when in the care of trainer Ross O'Sullivan. Will need to improve on form since to play a significant role here.

Won a third career victory when landing the spoils over a similar trip in a 15-runner Naas handicap last July off a 3lb lower mark. Form when last seen in a couple of starts in August is a concern.

Running with plenty of credit in a number of starts over 5f/6f on the AW at Dundalk over the winter. Without a win on turf in 16 starts including a 9L defeat on return to action at Navan recently.

Off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking in a Dundalk 13-runner handicap on the AW over a similar trip in October. Run well in defeat in three starts since and best form gives him a claim here.

Sole victory in a 47-race career came in a similar contest 12 months ago when landing the spoils over C&D off a 2lb higher mark. Not disgraced in a number of starts since and looks more than capable of hitting the frame.

Winner of one of his 17 career starts on the Flat but the mare is still yet to hit the frame in five starts on turf. Ran well in defeat on return to action at Navan last week but looks set for a minor role in this company.

Tai Sing Yeh (18/5), It's All A Joke (5/1), Earls (6/1), Baby Power (13/2), Noirvento (8/1), Plough Boy (9/1), Pretty Smart (9/1), Red Cymbal (10/1), Tanseeq (10/1), Iseebreeze (14/1), Beleaguerment (14/1), Guiding Star (18/1), Dolce Sicily (80/1), Divine Covey (80/1)

Verdict

The Edward Lynam-trained EARLS can get off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking. The Dream Ahead gelding produced a career best effort on his most recent start in a Dundalk 7f handicap on the AW in December and can progress again, in first-time visor at the expense of the John McConnell-trained Beleaguerment who may be suited by the drop in trip. Red Cymbal, previous winner over this trip, Dolce Sicily and Guiding Star, both winners over C&D, can compete for remaining prize money.
