Tailed off at huge odds in pair of soft ground bumpers in the winter and impossible to make a case for on belated Flat debut.
€85,000 foal. Half-brother to high class US miler Uni and 1m winner in Doha so bred to be quite decent and betting should tell us whet is expected.
Pair of really good placed efforts at two, beaten a short head on Sandown debut, prior to pulling well clear of the remainder when third in the valuable Convivial Maiden at York in August. Well clear on ability of those with experience.
Third on debut at Newcastle at this trip last term before probably finding soft ground a problem subsequently at Newmarket. Could leave that form behind and looks one of the likelier types of those who have seen the track.
Dam won over 6f but showed very good from at much further and relations have won from 1m to 2m for this yard so certainly of interest on debut.
66/1 and blinkered on 7f Yarmouth debut last week. Midfield on that occasion and needs to improve a good deal in short space of time.
Showed more on the second of twp runs as a two-year-old over 7f without suggesting a win was close to hand. Gelded since last seen and handicaps after this the likely way to go.
250/1 when running in snatches on 1m4f debut here last week when rear division and this drop back in distance unlikely to be much of a help.
Eight runs last term over 6 and 7f and regressed when last seen including three runs in handicaps. First attempt at 1m needs to bring improvement and lacks scope of these rivals.
375,000 gns yearling of a dam who was unraced. Half-brother to seven winners among them high class milers in America; Laragh and Summer Front. Classy pedigree and seems to be starting off at the right trip. Interesting.
Forecasts
Dubai Mirage (4/11), Winter Thorn (5/1), Emaraty Hero (8/1), Bring Him Home (10/1), Swinley Forest (20/1), Hundred Isles (25/1), Old Friend (66/1), Inner Treasures (66/1), Peat Moss (200/1), Liimari (200/1)
Winter Thorn is of obvious interest on breeding but will need to run to a high level on debut to get the better of DUBAI MIRAGE who put in a pair of very good efforts in maidens last season and sets a high standard. Bring Him Home is related to a smart winner abroad as well and completes the short list.
- Dubai Mirage
- Winter Thorn
- Bring Him Home
