Was with Aidan O'Brien when last seen on the Flat in 2016. Four wins under National Hunt Rules split between hurdles and fences and successful last two runs In September over 2m.
Seventh foal. Half-brother to several winners in these colours including the dual Group winner Headman, as well as Projected and Hyde Park. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and market will be revealing with this trip looking ideal on debut.
6f debut last summer on turf revealed little but much improved when tackling 1m on AW at Lingfield in February when 4L third of eight. Not knocked about and should have more to offer.
Has yet to beat a rival in two runs at big prices and hard to make a positive case for him.
Showed a similar level of decent form in three runs last term culminating in a 1L second of 13 to promising newcomer in November on AW debut. Return to this longer trip not a problem and probably just about sets the standard on form.
100/1 shot for 1m2f debut on Sunday at Lingfield and looked more of a long term prospect when finishing in the rear and needs to take a quick step forward to play a part.
Sales price took a huge leap as a yearling when fetching €350,000. Dam didn't race and only previous foal won over 1m2f. Yard have made excellent start and market should reveal plenty as to what is expected on belated debut.
Dam was unraced but was closely related to St Leger winner Conduit. Half-brother to five winners from 7f to 1m4f some of whom were very smart so certainly looks one of the more likely types on breeding.
55,000 gns yearling. Third foal of a dam who was unraced.. Gelded half-brother to winning sprinter Solar Park. Another interesting newcomer though widest draw on debut likely to be a concern.
Has beaten just the one rival in two runs to date over 6f and not hard to look elsewhere with handicaps on the agenda after this.
Two runs for John Gosden and didn't show a great deal, proving too keen on the second of them. Owner has now moved her to William Knight and handicaps after this may offer more hope.
Forecasts
Semser (2/1), Raatea (10/3), Royal Mews (10/3), Top Drop (5/1), Conscious (8/1), Giuseppe Cassioli (12/1), New Millennium (50/1), Ravens Ark (80/1), Libretti (80/1), Johnny Utah (200/1), Vitesse Du Son (250/1)
RAATEA probably edges it of those with experience but all four newcomers have something to recommend them on breeding and the betting will need to be watched closely. Conscious and Semser are probably just the pick of them and this should be an informative contest going forward.
- Conscious
- Raatea
- Semser
