One win in 15 starts, that coming at Lingfield last year (off a break, so absence not necessarily as issue); plenty of solid efforts to his name, trip no issue and seems to act on most ground, so has chances from a fair mark.
Looks on a very good mark on the best of his all-weather form, but the worry is he's winless in 13 starts on turf, and he simply seems happier on sand; however, ran well on first start for new yard and they may yet eke a bit more out of him.
Evergreen lad, often used as a good ride for apprentices these days, but will be professionally ridden here; no secrets from the handicapper but has a decent record here (win/placed seven times from 14 starts) and always capable of popping up.
C&D winner from 3lb lower last April, but his efforts from summertime onwards last year leave a bit to be desired; possible a return to this venue could see a better effort, but he clearly comes with some risk.
Won at Chelmsford last September (1m) and generally consistent efforts after that; conditions likely fine again but get the impression the handicapper has him where he wants him; should at least run his race if the ground stays good.
Just three places to show for his 12 runs so far, but put in one of his better efforts here last August (9f), not quite seeing out the trip; probably needs the ground to stay on the good side but there might be a race in him somewhere.
Runner-up over 6f here last August but in truth was well held, and was never in the hunt for the win; looks moderate and pretty much exposed already, and yet to show this trip is what she wants either.
Definite signs of ability last summer/autumn and seems to act on most ground, no problem with this trip either, and yard have had a recent winner, so there's more to recommend her chance than a few here.
First start for new yard, having left Mark Tompkins; showed little in five starts last year and hopes are pinned on a change of scenery to turn her fortunes around.
Did better on her final start of last season when running on well to take third in a 7f handicap at Kempton, looking like a step up in trip ought to suit; needs to build on that now but few miles on the clock, so that's not impossible.
Sent off huge prices last few starts and has shown next to nothing; has own ideas about things too, and this simply looks too tough for him.

Forecasts
Guvenor's Choice (9/4), Amaretto (3/1), Velvet Vista (8/1), Lunar Deity (11/1), Sharp Operator (12/1), Approve The Dream (12/1), Act Of Magic (14/1), Tattenhams (14/1), Jeanette May (20/1), Sherwood Forrester (20/1), Johni Boxit (25/1), Quduraat (28/1)
Probably only a handful to concentrate on. It wouldn't be any surprise to see old Lunar Deity take a medal of some colour home, and they quicker the go the better his chance late on, but TATTENHAMS showed more than enough last year to suggest there's a race of this nature in her and given her adaptability on the ground, any rain won't be a bother to her. Amaretto and Sharp Operator look more likely to run their races than a few here, and both Jeanette May and Approve The Dream have the potential for better.
- Tattenhams
- Amaretto
- Lunar Deity
