First start for new yard having left Charles Hills, and Joseph Tuite can ready them first time, so of interest on that alone; form tailed off last year but there was the odd good run to suggest all is not lost; market may well guide.

Placed on all three starts at Southwell, showing plenty of bright speed; slightly concerning he didn't go on from a good debut effort but early days and yard have really hit form in the last few days; definite chance.

Yard have only had the one runner here to date, and that was a winner, so that makes him interesting; has form that ties him in closely with Comeatchoo here, but far less exposed than that one and should confirm the form; chances in an open race.

Winner overe 6f at Thirsk last year when equipped with cheekpieces (missing here), and may be that another furliong today would be ideal; main plus point with him is the form of the yard, which is absolutely flying at present.

One win in 24 starts is hardly inspiring but to be fair, he's nothing if not consistent and does try, not out of the places last six and ran perfectly respectably at Kempton on Sunday; probably playing for places again, and needs rain to stay away.

Forecasts

Sur Mer (9/4), Pretty Lady (5/2), Ice Ice Lady (11/4), Craigburn (3/1), Lezardrieux (4/1), Comeatchoo (9/2), Silver Start (11/2)

Verdict

Not an easy race to solve and all six have some sort of chance. The money came for PRETTY LADY before she left it behind at the start at Lingfield on Sunday, but it may be worth giving her another chance as she looks the type to do better this year. Hopefully she can make amends. Lezardrieux has more improvement in him as well and represents a yard that are a rare visitor here, so any money for him needs noting. Sur Mer could do better for the switch to turf and Craigburn comes from a yard that can do little wrong at the moment.
  1. Pretty Lady
  2. Lezardrieux
  3. Craigburn
