Completed a C&D double when winning off a mark of 60 in January and put a couple of below par efforts behind him when finishing 1L second in a similar race to this in March. Notable runner off a mark 2lb higher than for his most recent triumph.
Built on a promising handicap debut fourth over 1m4f at Kempton last September when winning over the same trip at Wolverhampton the following month. Remains open to improvement and is interesting down in trip despite a 7lb rise in the weights.
Dual winner last November including over this trip but has finished held in his most recent starts in handicap company including over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton when sent off favourite last time out.
Followed up a C&D victory on handicap debut last August with a ¾L fourth here 12 days later. Changed stables since and she is one to note on her seasonal reappearance.
Built on a promising return from a short break when finishing a head second over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton in March. Tongue tie tried for the first time and draw could have been kinder on this occasion.
Held in two starts on the AW during the winter most recently when 41L ninth over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in January. Others hold more obvious claims.
Placed on both starts since winning by ¾L over this C&D in February. That victory marked his first since transferring from Belgium and he is of interest despite racing off a 4lb higher mark in this contest.
Registered his second AW victory when scoring over this C&D in January. Races off a 4lb higher mark here on his first outing since finishing 5L fifth over 1m4f here in February.
19 race maiden finished well beaten in a handicap over this C&D in March. Likely more needed if he is to take a hand in the finish of this event.
Hood and blinkers (both absent here) were reapplied when finishing 13½L fourth in a heavy ground novices' handicap hurdle at Fontwell (2m) in March. Tongue tie tried for the first time and racing from out of the handicap.
Dual winner over fences last August but has been absent since pulling up at Fontwell (2m2f, good) in October and others hold more obvious claims racing from out of the weights.
Twice a winner on turf off higher marks but most recent victory was well over two years ago and he was beaten 15L when tenth over 1m at Kempton in October on his most recent outing. Others make more appeal racing from out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Quemonda (13/8), Capla Huntress (9/4), Subliminal (17/2), Mystic Dragon (11/1), Janus (14/1), Famous Dynasty (14/1), Red Gunner (16/1), Elsie Violet (33/1), Flying Focus (33/1), Vanderbilt (40/1), Captain Marmalade (80/1), No No Cardinal (150/1)
SUBLIMINAL won twice over this C&D at the start of the year and he can make a winning return to action having finished a close fourth here on his most recent start. The selection has placed off a higher mark in the past and he can see off Capla Huntress who ended last year with a Wolverhampton victory over further while Quemonda can take third on her first start for her current stable.
- Subliminal
- Capla Huntress
- Quemonda
