Dandy Man colt from a half-sister to the 6f Group-placed juvenile Crown Dependency; fourth foal (€7,500 yearling, resold for €18,000); trainer saddled a 16-1 winner with his first juvenile runner of the season at Newcastle on Saturday.
First foal from a half-sister to the the 6f Group 3 juvenile scorer Habaayib; cost 26,000gns as a foal, 20,000gns as a yearling; trainer is 0-3 with his juveniles so far this season.
28,000gns yearling; Cable Bay colt from a 7f Listed juvenile scorer (Agrippina); ninth foal; half-brother to five winners, including Cartimandua (6f Listed) and Terentia (5f); first juvenile runner of the season for this trainer (1-10 career).
£32,000 yearling; first foal from the 7f winner Desire (was a half-sister to the 6f Group 2 winner Frederick Engels and two other good sprinters); was declared as a non-runner (going) at Haydock Park on Monday.
27,000gns yearling; third foal from an unraced half-sister to the 6f Group 2 winner Twilight Blues; half-brother to the 5f-1m1½f AW winner Blue Rocks; trainer 0-1 with his juveniles, but otherwise has made a very swift start to the season.
Mayson colt (£6,000 yearling); fifth foal, closely related to the 6f juvenile scorer Silver Samurai and a half-brother to the 7f-1m2f winner Boutan; reasonable midfield draw in stall number 7.
Requinto colt (€8,500 yearling); 11th foal; half-brother to six winners, including Ball Girl (7½f), Zain Emperor (1m) and Game All (6f AW); is drawn relatively wide in stall number 10.
Iffraaj colt from the 6f Group 3 juvenile scorer Coral Mist (a half-sister to the 7f Group 1 winner Toylsome); £36,000 yearling (third foal); the Johnston juveniles are flying - Pelekai & Thunder Of Niagara were among various winners last week.
€20,000 foal, £35,000 yearling; tenth foal; half-brother to five winners up to 7f, including Haxby (5f-7f) and Berlios (5f-6f); from a proven historical source of juvenile winners, yet has been dealt a rough hand by the draw (being widest of all).
First foal from the 5f juvenile scorer Lorimer's Lot, albeit also has a stamina influence in her family - is closely related to the stayers Uncle Bernie (1m6f-2m2f) and Rapid Heat Lad (1m4f/1m6f); others make more appeal.
Third foal from the 5f scorer Rozene (a mare out of an unraced half-sister to three French/Italian middle-distance winners); stablemate of the unraced Western Music (first juvenile runners of the season).
Epaulette filly; third foal from an unraced dam who was a half-sister to the 6f juvenile winners Parisian Prince and Just One Look; stablemate of the unraced Time Has Wings (first juvenile runners of the season).
Forecasts

A juvenile contest to kick start a new season in Yorkshire as Pontefract stages the first turf Flat fixture of the year in the county. Ben Haslam supplied a big priced juvenile winner at Newcastle on Saturday, and he relies on the Dandy Man colt Dandy's Max on this occasion, while Karl Burke's Inhaler sidestepped a planned engagement at Haydock on Monday (owing to easing ground). However, with the Mark Johnston juveniles in red-hot early season form (Pelekai, Thunder Of Niagara and Sands Of Time impressive recent winners) it's difficult to ignore the obvious appeal of the £36,000 yearling SAM BELLAMY.
- Sam Bellamy
- Inhaler
- Disco Beats
