Off the mark at the fourth time of asking when making a winning handicap debut in a 6f event at Lingfield in April last year. Changed stables since and he is one to note racing off a 5lb higher mark on his return from over 12 months off the track.
Performed well on the AW during the winter including when finishing 1L fourth in a 7f handicap here in March. Races off the same mark here and is interesting with this drop back to 6f no issue.
Held in two starts since finishing runner-up, beaten a head in a 7f handicap at Southwell at the end of November. Market support would be notable off a mark 3lb higher than for his most recent victory.
Made a winning debut at two and recorded his best effort in two subsequent starts when finishing runner-up in a 6f novice event at Kempton last November. Gelded since then and wears a hood for the first time on handicap debut.
Slowly away and denied a clear run when disappointing in a 6f handicap at Kempton back in February. Had been in good form prior to that however and interesting to see how he performs from a wide draw.
Three time winner most recently over 6f on heavy ground at Goodwood last September. Disappointing favourite in similar conditions at Newbury the following month and he makes his AW debut off a mark 6lb higher than for that Goodwood success.
Performed well when finishing runner-up in a 5f handicap at Navan (soft) last October. Beaten just 1½L when sixth over 6f at The Curragh (soft-to-heavy) the following month and he debuts for this yard having been purchased for €30,000 last autumn.
Placed third in a good-to-firm ground 6f handicap at Ascot in September last year. Slightly disappointing on heavy ground subsequently and he is interesting having won first time out over this distance last season.
Victorious over this C&D back in March and acquitted himself well when finishing 4L third over the same trip at Kempton two days later. Races off a mark 5lb higher than for that C&D success and he is well drawn in this contest.
Ended his time with Jamie Osborne by finishing 5¼L sixth in a 6f handicap at Windsor (good-to-firm) last July. Had wind surgery since and wears an eyecover for the first time on stable debut.
Successful by ½L in a handicap over this distance at Kempton back in January. Lost a shoe when finishing 6L sixth there subsequently and he has a top jockey booked to ride on this occasion.
Placed on his last two starts most recently when beaten a neck over this C&D in February. Races off a 1lb higher mark here and he is worth a check in the market having won off higher marks in the past.
Forecasts
Alnasherat (4/1), Rock Boy Grey (5/1), Atalanta's Boy (11/2), Whelans Way (8/1), Eljaddaaf (8/1), Thrilla In Manila (9/1), Enthaar (12/1), Excellent George (14/1), Medicine Jack (14/1), Busby (20/1), Vegas Boy (25/1), Young John (40/1)
ALNASHERAT made a winning handicap debut when last in action in spring last year and he is taken to register a second career victory by taking this competitive looking sprint handicap. The selection is debuting for a new yard here and he can get the better of Rock Boy Grey who is well drawn on this occasion and has shown good form here in the past while third place can go to Enthaar who had excuses when suffering a heavy defeat on his most recent start.
- Alnasherat
- Rock Boy Grey
- Enthaar
