Scored over C&D when last seen in March landing a claimer but will do well to follow up off a 5lb higher mark back in handicap company.
Broke hs maiden at the tenth time of asking when winning on final start for Stuart Willams in Kempton 7f h'cap in Jauary. Not disgraced when fifth on return visit there on debut for current yard and has been eased 1lb since then.
Only win came on debut at Kempton last year in 1m novice stakes. Finished second there a couple of times since but didn't cut too much in final handicap start last campaign. Can be readied first time out though so worth a glance at market.
Chelmsford scorer in April 2019 off 81 but really struggling when last seen and will do well to regain the winning thread on that evidence. Hard to enthuse over despite 6lb drop since last run.
Seeking 10th career success and is a previous C&D winner scoring here in January off 3lb lower mark. Beat only one home next time when sent off well backed favourite and jockey reported the horse ran Flat. May do better now following the rbeak.
Four-time Kempton 7f winner and tries his luck for the first time at this venue. 2lb lower than last winning rating so not out of it if he takes to this place.
Juvenile 7f winner for Roger Charlton back in 2018 and placed a couple of times last term in handicaps for Peter Hiatt. Makes debut for new stable with 8% overall winning strike rate at this track.
On a long losing streak but has been placed plenty of times since winning off 79 over 1m at Newcastle in January 2019. Has fallen to appealing mark and has won in past on seasonal return so not out of this if ready to roll.
Both career wins have come at Bath over 5.5f so has something to prove on this surface over the extra furlong and a half. Tied up late on over C&D last term when fair third and suspicion this trip is plenty far enough for her.
Previous C&D winner and runner-up last two starts during winter campaign including in claimer here in March. Runs off same mark and could do with some help from the handicapper in what looks a tougher race.
Had been hugely frustrating but finally off the mark over C&D in November then won again here in December. Three poor runs prior to enforced break but returns off mark just 3lb than last success.
Stable companion of Prince Rock. Last win came over C&D in November off 5lb higher mark but failed to build on that in a series of subsequent runs. Fairly handicapped if back to best but others are of more interest.
Forecasts
Glory of Paris (9/2), One Cool Daddy (9/2), Javelin (11/2), Holiday Magic (7/1), Coverham (8/1), Devils Roc (10/1), Fujaira King (11/1), Juanito Chico (12/1), Mont Kiara (18/1), Prince Rock (20/1), Thorn (25/1), Itsakindamagic (66/1)
A wide-open handicap in which most have questions to answer. COVERHAM does very well at Kempton and now has a first run at this track. If he takes to the very different surroundings he may prove the value. The veteran Holiday Magic is not out of the reckoning if fit enough on his first start since the enforced break, and the likes of One Cool Daddy and Fujaira King are others who can be given a chance. Top weight Juanito Chico landed a C&D claimer when last seen but this is a tougher task.
- Coverham
- Holiday Magic
- Fujaira King
