Rock solid at this level winning valuable York 6f h'cap in October on last turf start. 4lb higher now, has gone well fresh in the past but will need to be on top form to land this.
Improved 14lb last term developing into a decent spring handicapper including C&D success last May. Will need to improve again to defy current mark but has time on his side.
Progressive sprint handicapper last campaign where he won hot York 6f h'cap. Jockey booking catches the eye but balance of form has been on no better than good ground and would ideally like to get his toe in.
Stable companion of Gulliver. Last turf win came in August 2018 on July course. Run plenty of good races since and has won on AW but does appear handicapped to the hilt on last term's evidence. Goes well fresh though.
Won three times last season improving 18lb in all. Didn't show much in two starts on AW in February but is a better horse on turf. May find life tough this term taking on decent opposition.
Rock solid sprint handicapper who was a fine second in the Stewards' Cup a Goodwood last term. Jockey booking may be noteworthy but has never previously won on seasonal return. Stable companion of Tinto.
4-16 for Roger Varian and makes debut here for new stable. C&D winner last April off 6lb lower mark on first start of term so well capable of performing up to scratch following a lay-off. Talented apprentice claims useful 3lb.
Progressive and still unexposed sprint handicapper who won 2-3 last term and gave impression he may do better still this year. Last seen cosily landing Ascot 6f h'cap off 6lb lower. Won first time out in 2019.
4-7 over two seasons with Roger Charlton and not disgraced in four starts for current yard on AW this winter where went close each time without landing the spoils. Has to defy mark 10lb than last success however.
Did well first four starts last term having previously run three times in native Ireland for another handler. Rather lost his way backend of 2019 but may go well fresh having been eased 2lb since last run.
Last turf win came on July course in 2018 off 6lb higher. Won decent Newcastle AW event last summer and is possibly better these days on an artifical surface. Has been given a chance though at the weights.

A good quality sprint handicap with plenty of familiar faces returning. It would be great to see Magical Memory reprise old glories but it will be tough after more than two years off the track. The potentially decent SWINDLER may take some beating if building on the great promise he showed in his three runs last term and can continue here where he left off at Ascot. Dazzling Dan was another to do well in 2019 and a bold show is not ruled out from him, nor from Flavius Titus or the tough as teak Gulliver in what should be a decent race.
