Won back-to-back races at Chelmsford in 2019 but looked vulnerable from a handicapping perspective subsequently. Can be slow to break but a stiff 6f could be ideal for her and she ran with credit on only previous Tapeta run at Wolverhampton.
Won a four runner maiden at Musselburgh in August but has looked vulnerable in handicaps since, including when well beaten here last time out.
Improved from her debut here to finish fifth of 18 in a Listed race at York. Couldn't build on that when well beaten at Wolverhampton on return in March though and her opening mark doesn't look generous in any way.
Couldn't build on a promising debut at Haydock when well beaten at Hamilton in September despite going off a short priced favourite. Well bred and could take to AW so worth considering after a wind operation.
In good form throughout most of last season, despite only getting one win from his nine starts. Previous AW effort on debut was full of promise so he's of interest here if the switch of surface yields a little improvement.
Only narrowly denied on debut at Lingfield but disappointing when a short price at Wolverhampton in March. Form of that race isn't strong and he will need improvement to land this.
A maiden after five starts but two of his better efforts have come on AW. Needs to improve to defy this mark given the competitive nature of this heat.
Showed ability in novice/maiden company as a juvenile but failed to build on that in handicap company. Opposable on debut for new yard.
Won a Doncaster (5f) maiden on debut but seemed to lose his way subsequently. AW debut at Southwell when last seen wasn't without some promise but will need to have improved from two to three.
Failed to build on her promise in maiden company when switched to handicaps as a juvenile. May do better this year but will have to improve for a switch to AW here and she's the likely second string for the yard.
Off the mark at the seventh attempt when winning a 5f Navan handicap for Johnny Murtagh in October. Still showed signs of inexperience that day so may yet have more to come for this new yard.
Showed bits of promise in handicaps and got his head in front at the seventh attempt when switched back to novice company at Musselburgh in October. Drop back to 6f might not be ideal but open to improvement at least.
Forecasts
Rock Of Diamonds (4/1), Oakenshield (11/2), Shoot To Kill (6/1), Alix James (13/2), Written Broadcast (7/1), What A Business (7/1), Captain Corcoran (11/1), Iva Reflection (14/1), Taste The Nectar (20/1), Red Treble (25/1), Barbarella (33/1), Macho Touch (50/1)
A tough puzzle for punters to work out and most of the field are open to improvement. The tentative selection goes the way of TASTE THE NECTAR who ran with credit on her previous Tapeta outing and six furlongs on the straight track here could be ideal. The lightly raced Oakenshield could be a different proposition this year and the gelding has had a wind operation since last seen. If What A Business can find some improvement for the switch to all-weather, he ought to be thereabouts.
- Taste The Nectar
- Oakenshield
