Has found his form with a vengeance this calendar year winning three out of his last six starts; latest run over course and distance maybe suggests he has reached his limits in the handicap but difficult to discount given his confidence is up.

Debut Cork winner (7f, good to firm) last May, when with John Oxx; useful introduction to handicaps when runner-up over course and distance on Sunday; encouragingly turned out quickly and certainly one to consider.

Game course winner over seven furlongs in late January (sits 4lb higher); two promising runs in defeat followed but needs to bounce back from below par effort last time out.

Has improved on his last two runs including here over an extended seven furlongs last time; step back in trip might not be ideal but should run his race and has chance on best of his form off falling handicap mark.

Wonderfully consistent and a winner of two races over five furlongs; stable going well at present but on the downside, has never really convinced over this trip but still has a fair chance.

Verdict

SPLIT DOWN SOUTH is taken to get back to winning ways after disappointing last time out over course and distance. He had previously been a confident score here and while possibly looking to high in the handicap, is probably worth another chance. Badayel can be a difficult ride but he certainly has ability and could still be on the upgrade. Moveonup is almost certain to run his race given his overall consistency while Glory of Paris can't be easily dismissed from his current mark. Highland Dress is another fascinating contender and is turned out quickly after running well in defeat here on Sunday.
