Posted a respectable effort on her return from a long break when seventh of 16 at Doncaster in February but does need to wind things up a couple of notches. The fitting of cheekpieces might help but no favours done by carrying topweight.
Penultimate run was a decent enough performance but the mare was never a factor when dropped back to this sort of trip last time out. Yet to win a handicap hurdle but on a handy mark if the race unfolds to suit.
Showed a good attitude when she won a mares only novice hurdle at Newcastle last March but was put away shortly after. Three runs since her return have yielded little but she's unexposed at the trip and is worth another try. Betting can guide.
Made the most of a drop in the ratings to win her last two starts in a pleasing manner and merits respect now that the penny seems to have finally dropped. Now on a career highest mark, though.
0-25 under both codes of racing but encouraging that she's run her best races at this course. Had what was her second wind operation prior to finishing a well beaten fifth here at the start of the month; more required.
Has some solid course form to her name since switching codes and due a chance of fortune (has been placed three times from seven runs over timber). Consistent enough to merits consideration from a reasonably competitive mark.
Connections paid £185,000 for the mare at the Cheltenham sales last March but three starts over hurdles have fallen well short of the expected return. Might improve now going handicapping; still worth monitoring in the betting.
Friendless in the betting market in her last three starts and with good reason as the races unfolded; been struggling to get home and a big improvement is required to get involved again here.
Consistent since switching to Jumps and remains on a competitive mark despite a handful of near misses of late. Seems to reserve her best for Sedgefield but also a concern that she was well held in this grade last time.
Forecasts
Pammi (11/4), Paper Promise (10/3), Summer Lightening (5/1), Keep The River (6/1), Gemologist (8/1), Millie The Minx (10/1), Travel Lightly (12/1), Tippingituptonancy (16/1), Colorado Gold (25/1)
This course seems to suit PAMMI and the consistent mare is worth a small investment in a weak finale. She's not yet fully exposed over hurdles and will be suited by the likely strong pace (Millie The Minx is a prime candidate to set a decent tempo.) The in-form Summer Lightening has flourished of late but it remains to be seen if she can reproduce away from Catterick now she's creeping up the weights. Tippingituptonancy is yet to justify her £185,000 price tag at the sales but she too is unexposed for handicaps and could still have more to offer. Keep The River is another to bear in mind.
- Pammi
- Summer Lightening
- Tippingituptonancy
