Poor record of one win from 25 runs. Yet to win on the AW, including fourth of five at Kempton (7f) last time and while 2lb lower, may need to improve more to get competitive.

7/1
Winner over C&D back in June (7f) who showed a snippet of returning to some good form when second at Kempton two starts ago before sixth of eight at Wolverhampton (7f) last time out. More needed.

8/1
Sort who has been blighted by injuries but returned from absence with second on penultimate start before below form sixth at Kempton (7f) last time out. 5lb below last winning mark so not entirely without hope.

C&D winner here in October but proving to be inconsistent, including when eighth of 10 at Kempton last month. Not discounted on previous course victories but hard to catch when right.

3/1
C&D winner in December and looked to be in need of a better test when keeping-on fourth at Kempton (6f) on latest start. Every chance he could go well again so holds leading claims.

Full Intentionp29
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-10| J: David Probert| T: S Pearce| OR:  68| BF| CD
9/4
Previous C&D winner whose last victory came at Kempton in November. Holding form well since, including fourth of 11 at Kempton (7f) last month and considerations in what looks a weaker contest.

Forecasts

Full Intention (9/4), Fighting Temeraire (3/1), Ultimate Avenue (9/2), Human Nature (6/1), That Is The Spirit (7/1), Bobby Wheeler (8/1)

Verdict

A small but select field goes to post which looks to be a good opportunity for FIGHTING TEMERAIRE to get back to winning ways. The seven-year-old took the eye when staying on well last time and this test of both speed and stamina should be right up his street off a dangerous mark. Similar claims can be applied to Full Intention who is expected to run another solid race once again, while the likes of the fragile Bobby Wheeler and Human Nature look capable of putting in surprise efforts and may be on a going day.
  1. Fighting Temeraire
  2. Full Intention
  3. Human Nature
