Course winner who wasn't far behind Champion Brogie last time out over C&D. Back down to his last winning mark, but the yard are without a winner on the flat for 60 days (33 runners in that time).
Dual C&D winner has continued good run of form in defeat the last twice with a pair of third-placed efforts. Only 1lb above last winning mark, but others look stronger in terms of winning propositions. Each-way chance at best.
Vulnerable to improvers as he returns to 7f, but this three-time course winner wasn't disgraced when fourth at Lingfield (6f; standard) on his second run back from a break. On a long losing run so place claims at best.
Looked laboured in defeat when seventh at Kempton (7f; standard to slow) last time out. Still 5lb above his last winning mark, and looks nowhere near ready to take advantage of that at present.
Consistent in defeat in all four of his starts so far this year. Only beaten a length-and-a-half last time out. Looks vulnerable as a winning proposition given his strike-rate, but solid place claims once again.
Third-placed effort in a seller at Wolverhampton (1m; standard) would need to be stepped up on markedly. Very difficult to enthuse over with his modest strike-rate (1-23), and he looks set for a minor role.
0-5 on the AW (all three career wins have been registered at Brighton). Makes his return to action after a short break, and other race-fit rivals have far more pressing claims. Watching brief advised.
Yet to win in 13 starts, but is usually consistent in defeat. Well-fancied (6f; standard) last time despite finishing third. Would have claims if back to the form of his neck-second over C&D in December.

With both Elusif (unplaced at Chelmsford yesterday), and Rich Approach (engaged 7.50pm at Newcastle last night) unlikely to take up their entries in this race, this can go to the ultra-consistent KRAKA. Despite the fact he doesn't win very often (2-41 overall), he has gone extremely close on each of his previous four starts in defeat and may be able to take advantage of the fact his two nearest rivals are unlikely to show up. Disruptor is also not without a chance receiving weight all round, but he is still chasing an elusive first career success after 13 starts.
