Sole win for this yard came at the Cheltenham Festival last season. Running okay in two starts this season in Ireland but the handicapper has taken no chances with his mark.
Has an excellent strike-rate over hurdles with four wins from eight starts and didn't take to the larger obstacles at Cheltenham last time out. Grade 3 winner at Haydock when last seen over timber though and only 5lb higher here.
Has failed to complete in two starts over fences this year. However, he's interesting back in this sphere and may yet have untapped potential.
Wide margin Grade 2 winner at Haydock in February but finished a long way behind Stoney Mountain last time out and he will need the first-time cheekpieces to have a dramatic effect if he's to have a say here.
Gained his eighth win from 19 starts over hurdles on heavy ground at Haydock last time. However, he will need a career best up in this class of race from a 6lb higher mark; will appreciate conditions.
Won a novice event at Southwell on his return in October, adding to a course success in maiden hurdle company back in March. However, he's been a little disappointing since and no match for Stoney Mountain last time out.
Only 3L behind Stoney Mountain on his second start since wind surgery at Haydock last time. Only up 2lb and rates as a fascinating contender if the first-time tongue-tie has the desired effect.
Maiden hurdle winner in 2017 and won over fences at Navan last season. Showed he's still capable in this sphere when third of 13 at Punchestown in Febraury but well beaten at the Festival when last seen; handicapper takes no chances.
Wide margin winner of a maiden hurdle at Ascot in November. Didn't look entirely at home at Cheltenham last time but may do better back on a speed track here and less exposed than many.
Arrives bidding for a hat-trick having won at Wexford in October prior to a success when stepped up in trip at Thurles last time out; fascinating contender from a workable mark on UK debut.
Improved from his reappearance to take a five-runner race at Bangor when last seen in December. Form of that race doesn't look particularly special and he will need more in a deeper race here.
Won a three-runner bumper at Wincanton on debut and has run well in defeat in four starts over hurdles so far. Runner-up to subsequent Cheltenham winner last time out at Newbury and ought to be thereabouts from 2lb higher.
Hasn't won over hurdles since 2016 and makes little appeal on return from a lengthy absence from out of the handicap here.
Still a maiden after 11 starts and has failed to finish on his last two outings, though that's not all his own fault. Tough ask from out of the handicap regardless though.
Forecasts
Tedham (9/2), One For The Team (11/2), Stoney Mountain (11/2), Silver Sheen (7/1), Diomede Des Mottes (7/1), Doc Penfro (10/1), Igor (10/1), Lisnagar Oscar (11/1), Sire Du Berlais (16/1), Flashjack (25/1), Special Acceptance (25/1), Its All Guesswork (25/1), White Moon (40/1), Connetable (100/1)
A typically competitive Class 2 handicap hurdle but a chance is taken on the Irish raider SILVER SHEEN who appears to be on a nice handicap mark and won in good fashion at Thurles last time out. Stoney Mountain and Tedham are closely matched on their Graded form from last time out and are expected to be there again but the main danger is probably the progressive One For The Team who has had the form of his second place finish last time franked to some extent.
- Silver Sheen
- One For The Team
- Tedham
