Picked up for just £7,000 in November and made an immediate impact when winning at Wolverhampton (5f) on debut 16 days ago. Stayed on well that day and, despite the penalty, is the one to beat.

Has a decent pedigree and showed up prominently on debut at Newcastle (6f) before fading late on. There was a similar outcome dropped to this trip at Wolverhampton last time and needs to find more.

Half-brother to five winners including Solar Magic and Starscope. Took a step forward on his second start at Wolverhampton (6f), beaten 4L into fourth. Showed plenty of pace there and the drop in trip should help.
Dam won over 5f as a juvenile on the Lingfield Polytrack. Only has a modest pedigree, the yard are 0-44 to date and can be considered an unlikely winner.

Not unfancied on debut at Wolverhampton (5f) and shaped with some promise despite showing signs of greenness. Took a backward step, however, back there over 6f recently and now has questions to answer.

Garswood filly was beaten 6L on debut over C&D two starts back. Filled the same position but showed slightly more promise at Wolverhampton (6f) last time and may have more to offer with experience.

First foal; dam won over this trip at Lingfield (Polytrack); from the wider family of Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Classic Park. Yard have the occasional winning newcomer and her position in the betting will guide.

12/1
40,000gns Invincible Spirit filly, half-sister to five winners. Well beaten on debut at Sandown (5f) in July and, after five month break, took a small step forward at Kempton (6f) last month having raced freely. Down in trip but more required.

Forecasts

It'smabirthday (11/8), Endowment (3/1), Rodin (7/2), Full Speight (7/1), Up To Speed (12/1), Sweet Talked (28/1), Dress Circle (40/1), Diamonds Dream (100/1)

Verdict

There have been signs of promise from many of these on so far but nothing has matched the win of IT'SMABIRTHDAY on debut at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and should take all the beating once again. Endowment and Rodin have both ran to a similar level last time but preference is for the latter who showed plenty of speed last time and should be suited by the drop in trip.
  1. It'smabirthday
  2. Rodin
  3. Endowment
