Short-head second in Lingfield 7f h'cap last month and second again time after at Wolverhampton. Disappointed back there last time off 1lb higher mark and drops back in trip now.
Promise on second of four starts when close sixth in Ascot 6f novice stakes but hasn't really built on that in two starts since. May have needed run after three-month break when sixth on Wolverhampton handicap bow so not one to give up on yet.
Cable Bay half-sister to three fair winners. Races in cheekpieces ofr this handicap debut after showing ability last two starts without threatening to score. Hails from top yard so has to be respected in ordinary race.
Coach House filly who showed little on first three starts but signs of modest talent when running well until weakening final furlong on handicap bow over 7f last time. Drop back makes sense and 3lb lower mark helps the cause.
Yard among the winners but hasn't shown a great deal in her three starts so far. It may be a different story now going handicapping so market check is very much advised.
Didn't seem to see it out over 6f last term but won over 5f at Wolverhampton in October and close third last time in Newcastle 5f h'cap. Up 1lb since then but has questions to answers moving back up in distance.
210,000gns Breeze Up purchase but has shown precious little in three starts so far, admittedly in better company. Handicap debut so may turn the corner but has a bit to prove. Worth monitoring market for any interest as yard in fine form.
Gutaifan colt runs in first-time blinkers. Little to crow about first three starts but some progress when seventh over C&D last time on handicap bow having broken awkwardly. Eased 3lb and apprentice claims further 7lb.
Showed next to nothing on first eight starts then ran above himself when 66/1 second in Newcastle 5f h'cap last time, staying on well and beaten just half a length. 1lb higher but has claims if able to back up that effort over extra furlong.
Forecasts
Sound Mixer (2/1), Malmesbury Abbey (11/4), Holy Eleanor (9/2), Rapidash (8/1), Scallywagtail (9/1), Egotistic (14/1), A Go Go (20/1), Lady Codee (25/1), Tiltilys Rock (33/1)
Quite a few of these are open to some improvement including The Queen's SOUND MIXER who is fancied to make a winning handicap debut after showing promise on two of his three starts so far. Tiltilys Rock nearly sprang a big surprise last time and is not out of it getting weight all round if able to build on that, while Egotistic and Malmesbury Abbey both hail from in-form yards and could improve on their modest achievements thus far. It's hard to rule any of the others out, but Lady Codee should be in the mix.
- Sound Mixer
- Malmesbury Abbey
- Tiltilys Rock
