Put a disappointing effort behind him when finishing fourth over this trip at Kempton at the end of November. Interesting runner racing off a 1lb lower mark on this occasion.

Making his first appearance since April when finishing 2¼L fourth in a 7f handicap at this track just under a month ago. Marked drop in distance appeared to suit that day and he is a notable runner in this event.

Performed well when finishing 1½L second in a handicap over this trip at Kempton in November. Slightly disappointing dropped to 7f here subsequently and return to this distance is a positive with a tongue tie tried for the first time.

Returned to winning ways when victorious by 5L in a C&D handicap last time out. Raised 9lb for that victory and tongue tie worn for the first time in that contest is retained.

Finished last in two turf starts for previous yard including when 29L tenth over 1m2f at Windsor (good) in August. Has won off higher marks in the past but is probably best watched on debut for a new yard.

Dual C&D winner but has struggled in the main in recent starts. Signs of a possible return to form when 3½L 11th over 1m2f here earlier this week and races off a mark 1lb higher than when winning over this C&D in January last year.

Forecasts

Noble Peace (9/4), Puerto Banus (3/1), Para Mio (9/2), Brains (5/1), River Dawn (13/2), Fortune And Glory (9/1), Mr Mac (16/1), Rock Icon (16/1), Classic Charm (16/1)

Verdict

PUERTO BANUS can get off the mark at the eighth time of asking by taking the second division of the 1m handicap. The selection showed good form when placed here last time out and he can get the better of Noble Peace who impressed when winning here on his most recent start. Mr Mac showed more over further here last time out and he is taken to finish third.
  1. Puerto Banus
  2. Noble Peace
  3. Mr Mac
