Ran three times for Jason Ward, and improved when 7 lengths sixth of 12 to Morisco in a 1m novice at Ayr in September. Helped by having run of race there, but still merits respect making nursery bow for new yard.

Placed twice in nurseries at Newcastle at up to 7f, and not discredited when third of 7 here on penultimate start, but he did run below par last time, and needs to bounce back.

Has made limited impact in three runs at up to 5½f to date, and mark looks stiff on the face of it, but he's bred to improve at around this trip, so could easily do much better now handicapping.

Has shown a bit of ability in two starts here, but not enough to justify an opening mark of 57, and he needs to improve to get competitive.

Got off the mark at the 11th attempt when staying on late in the day to score over C&D last month, although the fact that he's finished last on either side of that effort highlights his inconsistency. May do better back here.

Best effort when 5L fourth on debut at Beverley (5f) in April, but well held twice since, and while he may do better now handicapping, others look better treated on paper.

Pull Harder Con94
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-10| J: T Eaves| T: R Brisland| OR:  54

Has offered little in the way of solid form to date, and fared no better on first try of Fibresand here last time. Up markedly in trip, and hard to fancy.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-4| J: L Morris| T: H Palmer| OR:  48

In the frame a couple of times in nurseries, but inclined to run the odd shocker, which he did when tailed off here on his latest start. Visor now replaces usual blinkers, and he needs to find his best form.

Forecasts

Speed Dating (3/1), Perregrin (10/3), Dancing Leopard (4/1), Brass Clankers (7/1), Gweedore (8/1), Comvida (12/1), Noddy Shuffle (12/1), Pull Harder Con (25/1)

Verdict

PERREGRIN has been gelded since showing ability in the spring, and given he's bred to be suited by a longer trip than he's tackled to date, he's suggested as the answer to a tricky puzzle. Speed Dating is a course winner, which is a rare commodity, and may be worth forgiving a poor effort on Tapeta last time, while Gweedore needn't have to improve much to figure on handicap debut for his new yard.
