Colt by Teofilo. Experienced sort who has been running well in defeat over C&D since October. More than likely will have to settle for minor honours again.

Daughter of Requinto out of a Oratorio mare. Dam unraced half-sister to Leningrad winner over 1m2f. 12th of 14 beaten 16L on debut here over 7f and looks opposable once Again.

Forecasts

Dark Vader (15/8), Karbasann (9/4), Ocean Monarch (3/1), Choice Of Mine (7/1), Stinglikeabee (7/1), China's Storm (33/1), Third Avenue (100/1), Clippings Of Tin (200/1)

Verdict

The promising KARBASANN can build on a bright effort over C&D last month to land the spoils at the third time of Asking. The Aga Khan-owned Siyouni colt finished second of 12 beaten ¾L behind Psyche can hold off the attentions of the Joseph O'Brien-trained Dark Vader, a winner at this track last month over 7f. The Jessica Harrington colt by Bungle Inthejungle, Ocean Monarch will look to build on his head win over C&D in a 13 runner contest last month, though the form of the race leaves little to be desired.
  1. Karbasann
  2. Dark Vader
  3. Ocean Monarch
