Got off the mark off 2lb lower at Ffos Las (1m4f) and bounced back from a disappointing run to finish fourth over C&D last time. Has been inconsistent throughout his career and his record now stands at 1-27.
Is 11lb below his last winning mark (over C&D) and he showed a little more back here last time when finishing third, beaten 1¾L (and ahead of Good Impression). Has an each-way squeak if reproducing that form.
Won a Leicester seller (1m2f) three starts ago and after disappointing six days later at Yarmouth, he won impressively after a break at Kempton (1m3f) by 2L two weeks ago. Still improving and unexposed; a strong contender.
Nudged up a 1lb for winning over C&D last time, which was a return to form. Still feasibly handicapped on a win earlier in the year and although he's never been the most consistent, probably won't be far away.
Stamina seemed to ebb away upped to 1m5½f last time but still ran creditably to finish third. Had won at Yarmouth (1m3½f) prior to that and as another lightly raced three-year-old, can get involved again back down in trip with blinkers on.
Ran two fair races back from a break at Lingfield and Chelmsford but ran poorly when beaten 24L here (1m1½f) after being too keen. Needs to bounce back from that and is vulnerable to more improving rivals.
Shock 100-1 winner at Bath (1m2f, good to firm) in August, her only time in the frame from 21 starts so far. Had finished last on all three starts since then and is readily passed over.
Hasn't improved on two starts since switching to handicaps at Lingfield (1m4f) and Kempton (1m3f), beaten 8L on both occasions. Has dropped 6lb as a result but is difficult to fancy on recent evidence.
Generally consistent (without winning too often) in low-grade C&D handicaps; ran a little disappointingly here (1m1½f) just a week ago. Hasn't won over further than 1m½f and would be a surprise winner.
Won twice off similar marks in 2018 but has been badly out of form in all three starts so far this year and is best watched until signs of a revival are forthcoming.
Tailed off on all three starts at long odds (1m½f/1m1½f). Makes her handicap debut here off a basement mark but can't be seriously considered on what we've seen so far unless the betting suggests otherwise.
Has shown a glimmer of ability on her two handicap runs to date. Did weaken, however, over 1m3f at Kempton last time and this extra furlong is not necessarily a positive.
Forecasts
Cheng Gong (13/8), Lord Howard (10/3), Enmeshing (11/2), Ember's Glow (6/1), Good Impression (8/1), Final Attack (20/1), Louisiana Beat (22/1), Golden Deal (25/1), Sexy Secret (33/1), Gibraltarian (40/1), Gms Princess (50/1), Valentine Mist (80/1)
The recent form of the three-year-olds of Lord Howard and CHENG GONG she see them bang there at the finish. Preference is for the latter with the combination of first-time blinkers and the drop in trip. Lord Howard steps up in trip and will give the selection most to do. Of the others, Enmeshing is well-handicapped on his best form and showed a little more over C&D last time.
- Cheng Gong
- Lord Howard
- Enmeshing
