Age: 4|  Weight: 9-8| J: Thomas Greatrex(3)| T: D Loughnane| OR:  53

Has been pretty reliable on her last five outings (four at this trip); a reproduction of her latest effort in early November should see her holding every chance given she still looks reasonably handicapped.

Age: 7|  Weight: 9-7| J: Dylan Hogan(5)| T: S Hanlon| OR:  52| CD
7/1
A switch of stable revitalised the seven-year-old last time out at this track over an extended seven furlongs; step up in trip should be no problem and one to watch in the market.

Godolphin cast-off; has toiled since joining this trainer for £6,000 in October 2018; returns to action for handicap debut from a 262-day absence.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: Charlie Bennett| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR:  51| C

Has been off the boil since running well at Brighton in April; vaguely consistent but hard to see where improvement will come from to get competitive once again.

Seaforth9(ex 4)
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-6| J: Finley Marsh(3)| T: A Wintle| OR:  47| CD
5/1
Overall form tailed off during the summer and a 100+ day break revitalised the seven-year-old as he produced a fine win over course and distance nine days ago; up in the weights but could be ready to score again in current mood.

Maqboola43

Signs of ability when fourth on her two most recent starts including when beaten 5L over 5f at here last month; worth a check in the market on handicap debut.

Castelop119
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: Jason Hart| T: D & C Kubler| OR:  50

Has yet to blow away the cobwebs after returning from a very long absence with recent runs here and at Kempton; might be suited by this step up in trip and still relatively unexposed. Cheekpieces applied for the first time.

Prince Consortp9
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: P Mulrennan| T: J S Wainwright| OR:  47

Not the most consistent but has ability on his day; latest effort over this course and distance was reasonable but is not one to rely upon.

Rebecke119
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: L Carter| OR:  49

Produced some fair performances earlier in the year for Clive Cox; chances she will have been revitalised by break and change of stable; may front run from favourable draw.

22/1
Slightly below par on reappearance run at Chelmsford in November following a 170-day break; had previously been running with credit without winning and has run well at this track in the past; chance on best of her form.

Baile Ghilibertp24
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-1| J: Alistair Rawlinson| T: M Appleby| OR:  45
40/1
Has very little solid form to his name in recent times, and although he was heavily backed on debut for current yard on penultimate start at Southwell, he did not look like justifying it; similar story last time out at same track.

Beau Geste146
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Hollie Doyle| T: A W Carroll| OR:  46
11/2
Has shown little in the way of ability in all four racecourse appearances and very difficult to make an enthusiastic case for.

Invincible One17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: F Norton| T: S Kirk| OR:  45
16/1
12-race maiden who is generally reliable but rarely looks like winning; may struggle to get competitive again from out of the handicap.

Forecasts

I Think So (5/2), Maqboola (9/2), Seaforth (5/1), Beau Geste (11/2), Mercury (7/1), Invincible One (16/1), The British Lion (20/1), Prince Consort (20/1), Muzaawel (20/1), Navarra Princess (22/1), Baile Ghilibert (40/1), Castelo (66/1), Rebecke (100/1)

Verdict

SEAFORTH returned from a break full of enthusiasm winning over course and distance last time out and if reproducing that effort he may be very hard to beat. He is a difficult horse to predict so this should be factored into any price taken. Ready to take advantage of the inconsistency of the selection will be the consistent I Think So. The filly has shaped well on this track since having blinkers applied and certainly deserves to win a race in the near future. Maqboola has shown she has ability over shorter trips and it will be interesting how she fares on her handicap debut and over this longer trip. Market support for her would be a good omen.
