Debut for beautifully bred Dubawi half-brother to dual Dubai World Cup winner Thunder Snow. Holds entries in Irish 2000 Guineas and Irish Derby so no surprise to see him go well on his first public appearance for top yard.

Dubawi colt out of Group 3 1m4f Cumberland Lodge Stakes winner. Holds a Derby entry but faces no easy task from wide draw on racecourse bow. Yard has fine 31% strike rate with juveniles here though so has to be very much respected.

Australia colt out of French 1m2f winner represents top yard with 20% strike rate with juveniles at this venue. Appears stable second-string on jockey booking so may be better for the outing.

£72,000 colt by Argentinian sire Candy Ride. Dam winning Grade 2 US miler. Yard remains in decent form so worth checking for any market interest on first career outing.

Bated Breath colt who looked a little sluggish on recent debut at Chelmsford when never dangerous and beaten 15 lengths . Represents fine yard but may well need a little more time.

Sales price plumetted from 47,000gns as a yearling to just 6,000gns this October. Brazen Beau colt out of 7f winner hailing from fine yard but sales price fall is of some concern. Racecourse debut.
70,000gns son of Free Eagle out of winning 1m2f dam who was also placed in Listed company. Holds Derby entry. Yard having few runners at present but sent out juvenile winner at Lingfield on Monday so any market support would be noteworthy.
Racecourse bow for Ivawood gelding who is half-brother to 2000 Guineas runner-up Glory Awaits. Stable has just 5% winning strike rate here so quite likely he'll be better for this very first public appearance.

55,000gns colt by Golden Horn out of winning dam who is full-sister to St Leger winner Milan. Plenty of stamina in pedigree and was readily outpaced when 13th of 14 over C&D on debut last month. Others make more appeal.

Stable companion of Quarry Bay. Gelded son of Gregorian out of decent dam who won at up to 1m4f. Surprise if he's quick enough to mix it with expected market principals on racecourse debut.

125,000gns Lope De Vega colt out of Group 3-winning miler. Looks the part on paper and holds a Derby entry so connections will be hoping for some signs of ability on this first racecourse appearance.

Dansili half-sister to Group 1 Australian middle-distance winer. Plenty of promsie when good second of 10 on debut over extended mile at Wolverhampton last month and looks sure to be in the mix again with that experience to draw on.
Stable companion of Kuramata. Very well related Sea The Stars filly out of dam from family of Hector Protector and Bosra Sham. Cost 500,000gns. Racecourse debut for top stable and no surprise to see her give a good account of herself.

Verdict

There are some superbly bred juveniles in this race and the market will prove highly informative with so many unknown quantities, but a chance is taken that EASTERN WORD, a half-brother to dual Dubai World Cup winner Thunder Snow, can make a winning start. Punctuation, Prince Of Eagles, Khatm, Halfwaytothemoon and Starcat also have fine pedigrees that entitle them to plenty of respect. Of those with previous experience Summit Reach stands out and looks sure to give a good account of himself in a fascinating contest.
