Returns from a 146-day absence seeking a hat-trick following short odds wins on successive days in July at Bath (5f, firm) and Catterick (5f, good to firm); allocated an opening handicap mark of 77.

Beat Many A Star by a neck when winning for the second time in succession over 6f at Chelmsford; the combination of an extra furlong and a 4lb rise in the weights scuppered her chances next time.

Made all and ridden out by the record breaking Hollie Doyle when scoring from a 4lb lower mark at Kempton (6f) in October; excuses (bumped leaving the stalls) for a more modest run latest; don't discount.

With David Evans when finishing 3¾L fourth in the Brocklesby at Doncaster (5f, good) in March; has left that trainer since; a rare juvenile Flat runner for Nigel Twiston-Davies (carries the silks of Willie Twiston-Davies & partner).

Cost £35,000 as a yearling (a daughter of Dark Angel); ran her best race to date on her second start (Ascot 6f, good to firm) when a 50-1 sixth to Cosmic Power; merits a market check on handicap debut.

Kept on well to take a 6f four-runner Class 5 nursery at Brighton (good to firm) in September, but last of 12 to Mitty's Smile at Kempton subsequently; it's difficult to envisage that form being turned completely upside down here.

Forecasts

Triple Spear (3/1), Havana Dawn (4/1), Augustus Caesar (4/1), Colouring (5/1), Taste The Nectar (7/1), Heer We Go Again (8/1), Rapidash (11/1), War of Clans (16/1), Mitty's Smile (16/1), Brainchild (20/1), We're Reunited (20/1), Requiems Dream (25/1), Dorchester Dom (33/1)

Verdict

A tough looking nursery which is likely to be run at a searching pace with the likes of Augustus Caesar, Requiems Dream, Mitty's Smile, Heer We Go Again and Triple Spear all adept at cutting out the hard yards from the front. Therefore, we'll opt for the Ed Walker-trained filly COLOURING who deserves to force her head in front sooner or later. She kept on close home when beaten ½L by Birkenhead at Lingfield (5f) recently and should be suited by this extra furlong. In terms of seeking an unexposed alternative, the Richard Hannon-trained Rapidash should be monitored for signs of market support from a more than fair opening mark of 67.
