Maiden after 31 attempts on the FLat and showed only a modicum of ability on recent hurdles bow when seventh of 16 at Catterick. Hard to enthuse over.
44-race maiden under both codes whose failed to trouble the judge in stints both here and in Ireland. Second in 2m4f Bellewstown maiden hurdle in August gives him some chance but likely to find a few too good once again.
Third in two of three bumpers for Gillian Boanas showing ability. Not disgraced on hurdles bow after a break and for new connections when fifth at Carlisle last month and a step forward from that would give him every chance here.
Sulamani gelidng who was respetable fourth of 12 in Hexham bumper on debut in March. Struggled on hurdles debut there lats month and was tailed off when pulled up before last. Too early to write off but has work to do.
Progressive in-form Irish gelding who won Kilbeggan bumper in September then followed up at Hexham last time in some style. Hurdles bow here and has first-time tongue-tie. One for the shortlist.
Bought for £55,000 after finishing second in Killarney bumper in May. Fair debut for new connections when third last month in Ayr bumper and every chance will make presence felt on this hurdles debut.
Ask gelding out of bumper winner. Shaped fairly well in heavy ground on debut at in Kelso bumper last month when finishing fourth. Faces hurdles for the first time but hails from good yard and should have been well schooled.
Germany gelding out of winning Flat miler. 100/1 and dropped away from 3f out on debut in Catterick novice hurdle a fortnight ago and looks as though he'll need more tme before being competitive.
Just 1-23 on Flat but has shown enough in four novice hurdles to suggest he can win a small race. Respectable third of 16 last time at Catterick and has every chance here on official ratings.
Showed ability in three Irish bumpers for Stuart Crawford prior to finishing third in similar event on debut for current yard at Downpatrick in September. More needed to make winning debut over hurdles but top yard has 36% winning strike rate here.
Fair Flat handicapper cost 55,000 guineas when joining current yard last autumn. Only two runs since. Well beaten favourite at Warwick on hurdles bow a year ago (may have burst blood vessel), but pleasing second at Kelso in October and has claims.
Forecasts
Dakota Beat (11/10), Shaws Bridge (3/1), Dubai Days (7/2), Wax And Wane (11/1), Seaborough (14/1), Claret Dabbler (20/1), Hart Of Steel (33/1), Challow (50/1), Crow Stone (100/1), Pat Carrot (200/1), Captain Peaky (200/1)
Quite an interesting maiden hrudle with the two Irish raiders likely to figure prominently. DAKOTA BEAT has won his last two bumeprs and could be decent so is taken to get the better of fellow Irish-trained Shaws Bridge whose yard does very well here. Wax And Wane showed promise at Kelso last time and was decent on the level, and Seaborough has every chance on official figures and should make his oresence felt too. Claret Dabbler and Dubai Days can win a race or two along the way, while Hart Of Steel looks best of the rest.
- Dakota Beat
- Wax And Wane
