Best effort when beaten a neck over 2m3f at Taunton in March by Birds Of Prey. Well below that form when distant second (would have been fourth but for fallers at the last) on subsequent start in May but now returns following a break.

Not the easiest of rides but has shown enough ability to suggest a race like this is in his range. Stable continue in excellent form and on breeding this slightly longer trip may help.

Improved form when just over 2L third of 12 on handicap debut at Chepstow last month despite been a bit keen. Extra 2f should help providing he settles better.

Similar level of ability when placed in first three runs over hurdles prior to last flight fall when midfield on latest. Longer trip here may help though needs to find some improvement.

Clearly has the ability as shown when 1L second at Southwell last week but did hang on that occasion and ran out when challenging on previous run. Perhaps this drop in trip will help and is 3lb well in here.

Front-runner who won at Uttoxeter in the summer and probably found ground too testing following a lay-off at Exeter last time. Trip and ground ideal here and respected for a yard in good heart.

Finished last season on a low when 20L fourth at Kempton in January. Has had a wind operation since and ran well off a break before but does have stamina to prove and others preferred.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: G Sheehan| T: W Greatrex| OR:  106

Well beaten in trio of novice hurdles last term and needs to take a big step forward now moving into handicaps to play a leading role here.

Favori De Sivola29
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-2| J: Lizzie Kelly(3)| T: Nick Williams| OR:  105

Similar level of ability in three novice hurdles to date but gives impression that this longer trip will bring about improvement now handicapping and certainly worth noting for any market confidence.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-1| J: Page Fuller(3)| T: Miss J S Davis| OR:  104

Disappointing at Ascot last time but unable to lead there and had previously shown improved form under front-running tactics. May have competition for the lead but drying ground is in his favour.

Flowing Cadenza22
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-13| J: Sean Houlihan(3)| T: R H Buckler| OR:  102

Moderate form in bumpers and novice hurdles to date but now handicapping and return to this longer trip certainly in her favour on breeding, so no surprise to see a more prominent showing.

Granitic15
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: J McGrath| T: J W Mullins| OR:  100

No signs of improvement on two runs back following wind surgery and although the subject of early support at Chepstow last time it was a disappointing effort. Plenty to prove for now.

Back on the same mark as his win at Fakenham in June in a lowly event but last two runs have been very disappointing and with yard going through a quiet spell, not hard to look elsewhere.

No sig of ability in four starts in Ireland and needs to take a major step forward on first run for new yard with opening handicap mark looking step on what he has achieved.

Verdict

FAVORI DE SIVOLA looks to have been brought along steadily with handicaps in mind and with this longer trip very much in his favour, gets the nod in a tricky opener. Nifty At Fifty does have his quirks but is in good heart and looks a threat while Mrs Miggins is back on a more suitable surface and should give it a good go from the front.
