Generally consistent apart from disappointing on soft ground at Newcastle on penultimate start; steps up in trip here but looks a little high in the handicap at present.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-7| J: J Mitchell| T: H Palmer| OR:  72
15/2
Slowly getting the hang of things and benefited from a more positive ride last time out at Newmarket; needs to improve off current mark to be a serious contender, however.

5/4
Expensive purchase who has improved with every run; best effort came last time out at Chelmsford and should appreciate this step up in trip; interesting.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  68
13/2
Has produced three solid if unspectacular performances to date and gets into the handicap off a decent mark; looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip and certainly one to consider.

Locked N' Loaded67
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3| J: Barry McHugh| T: T J FitzGerald| OR:  68
25/1
Showed steady improvement with Richard Hannon including two fair runs on the AW at Chelmsford; needs to have improved for change of stable to be a leading contender.

Treaty Of Dingle12
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-13| J: Tom Marquand| T: H Morrison| OR:  64| CD
4/1
Put her experience to good use when running out a clear winner at this track earlier this month over slightly shorter; could possibly improve again for step up in trip and looks one for the shortlist.

Goddess Of Firep24
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-4| J: A McCarthy| T: J Ryan| OR:  55
25/1
Benefited from a change of stable to win well at Chelmsford on penultimate start over 1m2f; Below par back on turf last time but capable if enjoying this surface and trip obviously no problem.

Prestigiousp37
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-4| J: Hollie Doyle| T: A Watson| OR:  55
16/1
Generally a consistent filly who has shown her liking for the AW with two fair efforts at Chelmsford in October; has been dropped a couple of pounds by the handicapper and looks to have an excellent chance.

Forecasts

Gibraltar (5/4), Treaty Of Dingle (4/1), Genever Dragon (6/1), Got The T Shirt (13/2), Eventful (15/2), Prestigious (16/1), Locked N' Loaded (25/1), Goddess Of Fire (25/1)

Verdict

GIBRALTAR has been brought on steadily by his trainer and this expensive purchase may be ready to start to repay connections. There was plenty to like about his latest effort at Chelmsford earlier this month and he looks to have been pitched in here off a reasonable mark. Prestigious is a consistent filly who put in her best performance last time out on the AW. A repeat of that effort over this slightly shorter trip should see her going close. There may be plenty of support for recent winner Treaty Of Dingle. If she can kick on from that then it is likely she will be in contention for a place at the very least off her revised mark.
  1. Gibraltar
  2. Prestigious
  3. Treaty Of Dingle
