9/2

14-race maiden. Running with plenty of credit in a number of starts over C&D since September. No surprise to see a big run once again.

Form: 427353

(9)

Swiss Army Officer²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: Ben Kennedy⁽¹⁰⁾| T: Kevin Coleman| OR: 63

8/1

Improved on a number of dismal efforts on turf when finishing fourth of 14 beaten 2½L on polytrack debut over 7f earlier this month. Entitled to be in the firing line.

Form: 00404

(6)

Munfallet²³

Age: 8| Weight: 9-11| J: Ross Coakley| T: D P Coakley| OR: 62| CD

5/1

Won for the seventh time in his career when landing a handicap over C&D earlier in the month off a 6lb lower mark. Life more difficult from revised rating but still a major player.

Form: 480451

(7)

Clifftop²³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Chris Hayes| T: H Rogers| OR: 59| D

8/1

Generally holding his form well in a number of starts since first career win at Bellewstown in August. Third of 14 beaten 1L over C&D puts the Canford Cliffs gelding in the mix here.

Form: 061537

(13)

Cherryville²³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: K J Manning| T: J C McConnell| OR: 58

33/1

Six-race maiden formerly with trainer Ger Lyons, possibly posting a career best on final start for the yard at Bellewstown in August. Well held in a couple of starts here for current connections and looks up against it.

Form: 8-80579

(2)

Red Avenger^b⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 9-0| J: Paddy Harnett| T: D Hogan| OR: 51| CD

10/1

Solid and consistent record over C&D winning three of his 15 starts over the combination. Not disgraced in four starts for current connections but looks a tall order on recent form shown.

Form: 966645

(16)

Dark Magic^p1⁵⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 8-13| J: Colin Keane| T: J F Levins| OR: 50

14/1

Dismal effort on debut at the venue over C&D when last seen in October. Inconceivable first time cheekpieces will produce the required amount of development needed to play a role here.

Form: 254000

(14)

Chagall²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: R P Downey| T: E Lynam| OR: 51

25/1

Form: 089052

(15)

Giorni Felice¹⁶⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 8-12| J: Gary Carroll| T: Francis Casey| OR: 49

25/1

Sole win in 16 starts for the Born To Sea gelding came in a Roscommon maiden in August 2017. Not seen since June and probably best watched on stable and polytrack debut.

Form: 6-53663

(1)

Alpine Peak^v1⁵⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-10| J: Emma Louise Doyle⁽¹⁰⁾| T: N Lupini| OR: 47

28/1

(11)

Irish Ambassador¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Wayne Lordan| T: S Lynam| OR: 48

11/2

Put a host of dismal efforts behind him when showing a liking for this track to finish sixth of 13 beaten 4L behind Spelga earlier this month over 1m2½f. Needs a few to falter dropping in trip.

Form: 09006

(12)

Pegasus Bridge^b²³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Alan Persse⁽⁷⁾| T: L Lennon| OR: 48

50/1

Regressive 55-rated handicapper earlier in the summer for trainer Eve Johnson-Houghton. Hints of ability over C&D earlier this month but still a long way to go before any faith is shown in him.

Forecasts

Everyhouronthehour (11/4), Munaajaat (9/2), Munfallet (5/1), Irish Ambassador (11/2), Clifftop (8/1), Swiss Army Officer (8/1), Red Avenger (10/1), Clonville (12/1), Pulsating (12/1), Dark Magic (14/1), Chagall (25/1), Anfaass (25/1), Giorni Felice (25/1), Alpine Peak (28/1), Cherryville (33/1), Storm Approaching (33/1), Pegasus Bridge (50/1)

The solid and consistent MUNFALLET can add to his victory over C&D earlier this month by landing the spoils in the closing race of the evening. The winner of seven of his 55 career starts the eight-year-old can hold off the attentions of the improving three-year-old, Munaajaat who sports first-time blinkers for the Joseph O'Brien yard. Everyhouronthehour and Clifftop will look to improve on recent pleasing efforts over C&D while Anfass can go well at a price.
