Stepped up markedly on debut effort when winning by 2L over 1m at Lingfield at the end of August. Changed stables since and is one to note stepping up in distance.
Unraced Sea The Stars colt bought for 70,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to the useful Demarchelier and he represents a good yard on his first racecourse appearance.
Good second on debut over an extended 1m at Nottingham (heavy) earlier this month but disappointed at Kempton on AW debut last week. Interesting if putting that latest effort behind him.
Signs of ability having been slowly away when finishing sixth in a 1m novice race here on debut just over a fortnight ago. Hails from a top yard and is of interest in this contest.
Unraced Australia colt cost connections 32,000 gns at the sales in October last year. Half-brother to a couple of winners and is worth a check in the market on debut.
Well beaten tenth when making his debut over 1m at Kempton at the end of last month. Bred to appreciate this step up in distance but is probably best watched at present.
Sent off a big price and finished down the field on debut at Kempton (1m) earlier this month. Others appear to hold stronger claims.
Beaten 66L when last of 13 in a 1m maiden at Kempton when making his debut last month. Blinkers tried for the first time on this occasion.
Failed to figure in four starts so far most recently off a mark of 62 on handicap debut over this C&D a month ago. Others make more appeal.
Well held tenth in a 1m novice race at Kempton on debut last time out. More needed if he is to break his maiden in this event.
Caught the eye in finishing fifth having been ridden from off the pace in a 15 runner 7f novice race here on debut just over a fortnight ago. Notable runner stepping up in distance.
Beaten 7L when finishing sixth in a 1m novice race on debut last time out. Bred to appreciate this step up in distance and represents a top yard.
Unraced daughter of Phoenix Reach out of a mare who won three times over 1m4f. Interesting to see how she performs on racecourse debut.
Forecasts
Far Rockaway (5/2), Book Review (5/2), Colonize (4/1), A Star Above (6/1), Pharoah King (12/1), Fiveandtwenty (16/1), Spantik (20/1), King Of The North (25/1), Master Rocco (25/1), I Spied (33/1), Table Mountain (33/1), Jersey Grey (50/1), Mack The Knife (50/1)
FAR ROCKAWAY was an eye-catcher on debut and she is taken to break her maiden with a victory in this opening novice contest. Spantik, the only previous winner in the field can defy a penalty to claim second place ahead of Book Review who can put a disappointing AW debut behind him to finish in third.
