Long-standing maiden on the flat and finished the season when down the field in class 6 Chelmsford handicap (1m) in October. Others appeal more on hurdling debut.
Well-beaten on rules debut in Ireland back in April 2018 and returned from mammoth layoff with 42L seventh in 2m1f Sedgefield novice hurdle. Entitled to strip fitter but form is modest at best.
Best form came when second in point-to-point. Not as good under rules, being beaten a combined total of 137L, including at Sedgefield (2m1f) last time. Tough ask on his plate.
Became slightly frustrating over hurdles last term with three seconds in a row but nowhere near that level since. Latest 27L defeat at cartmel (2m1f) during the summer leaves him with a bit to prove.
Shown nothing of note on the track to date and was beaten 66L when sent off 200/1 at Wetherby earlier this month. Likely to be down the field once again.
Experienced multiple winner in point-to-points but struggled on rules debut when beaten 59L in 2m1f Aintree bumper. More needed on hurdles debut.
Above-average performer on the flat and turned into a Ripon specialist before refusing to race at that venue on his final start in May. Not seen since but market should guide.
Improved greatly when narrowly beaten on penultimate bumper start at Market Rasen but took a backward step with 18L fourth at Ayr (2m) earlier this month. Makes hurdles debut.
Looked in need of his debut run but regressed again after that when 21L sixth at Southwell (2m) in July. Not seen since and tough ask on hurdles debut.
Germany gelding. Dam was nothing special on the track and hasn't produced the best quality with no winners from three runners over jumps. Best watched on debut.
Not beaten far on final point-to-point start and showed signs of inexperience when fifth of 10 at Carlisle (2m1f) last month. Improvement likely and considered.
Failed to win on the flat but progressed encouragingly on final couple of starts, finishing 1L third in 1m1f Wolverhampton handicap earlier this month. Market should guide on hurdles debut.
Dual-purpose sort whose best effort came when 10L third in 2m1f novice hurdle at Cartmel in August. Not so good in one start since but claims on previous hurdle effort.
Irish raider who has done nothing but improve in each start and made it a hat-trick of wins with 6L victory in 2m Perth bumper in June. Not seen since but leading claims on hurdles debut.
Runner-up on the flat in January 2018 but form seemed to tail off towards the middle of that year. Makes hurdle debut and has 482-day break to contend with.
Showed some ability when fourth on bumper debut but didn't progress when sixth of 11 - beaten 24L - at Sedgefield (2m1f) in April. Limited appeal on hurdles debut.
Forecasts
Shanroe (30/100), Dagian (8/1), Pull Green (10/1), Seaborough (12/1), Gurkha Friend (12/1), Quoteline Direct (20/1), Ladronne (40/1), Taqwaa (40/1), Cheers Jd (40/1), Cilluirid (66/1), Eden Collonges (66/1), Nomountainhienough (66/1), Fair Sheriff (66/1), Pat Carrot (100/1), Captain Peaky (125/1), Donald Dux (150/1)
SHANROE has rapidly improved in the NHF flat sphere and arguably posted a career-best when a ready winner at Perth in April. The lay-off shouldn't phase this Irish raider and there is every chance he could be a classy prospect. Pull Green did show signs of inexperience on his rules debut but that run should put him right and his yard's horses tend to do better with racing, while the likes of Gurkha Friend and Ladronne are unexposed at this level, but will need to bounce back from previous blemishes.
- Shanroe
- Pull Green
- Gurkha Friend
