Half-brother to a winner over sprint trips. Impossible to fancy after being tailed off on debut at Carlisle (1m3f; good to firm). Sent off at 50-1 then and ran accordingly, more of the same expected again.

Won and finished second in two bumpers earlier this year. Sent off 100/1 on Flat debut shortly after and trailed home last of 16. That wasn't his true running but best watched after seven month break.

Came home fourth of seven in what was a modest debut over at Newcastle (1m, Tapeta). He was green for large parts of that race but didn't improve on it back there last time and may be suited by handicaps in time.
Dam won twice at this course. Went off at 3/1 on his debut at Southwell (1m) but he came home at the rear of the eight runners. Was much improved over C&D four weeks ago, finishing third, beaten 2½L. Shortlisted.

Didn't run too badly on debut and built on that to finish fourth at Chelmsford (1m2f, Polytrack) three weeks ago. Not much strong form amongst the opposition here and has an each-way squeak.

Tailed off on both bumper starts at Stratford (2m½f), beaten 118L and 56L. Hard to envisage anything different switched to the Flat.

Showed little ability in three hurdling starts, being well beaten on her first two attempts before pulling up last time. Is Flat-bred but hard to be enthusiastic on all known evidence.

Modest efforts when unfancied in both previous starts and not hard to overlook at this stage. First run for a new yard.

Superb pedigree by Sea The Stars out of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Gossamer. Half-sister to Group 1 winner Gossiping. Kept on to finish fifth of 12, beaten 7¾L over C&D, on debut and is open to much improvement for a leading yard.

Tailed off on both starts here (1m½f/1m1½f), beaten 44L and 20L. Likely to struggle again. Will qualify for handicaps after this contest.

Well-bred filly; three very promising starts on the bounce over 1m, beaten narrowly on the first and last of those. Only beat one home on handicap debut at Sandown (1m, good) two months ago. Sets the standard on her previous form.
Daughter of Teofilo; sent-off at 50/1 on debut over C&D 24 days ago, beaten 10L. Showed a modicum of ability but will need significant improvement to get involved.

Verdict

Not much strength in depth to this field, with Loving Glance setting the standard on her first three races, when finishing runner-up. FINESPUN, however, has a wonderful pedigree and shaped nicely on debut here recently. If building on that, she can get off the mark. There have been two promising efforts from Dawry so far and that form is sufficient to be best of the rest.
