Sole win came in a bumper and highly tried without success since. Well beaten in a Grade 2 (2m4f) last December and not seen since then. Tough ask.
Beaten into third on first point-to-point start but stepped up markedly with 30L victory over 3m on last effort in the sphere. Interesting contender on rules debut.

Uninspiring form in the point-to-point sphere, finishing unplaced before falling. Tall order on rules debut.

Well beaten in bumpers for previous yard but placed twice in point-to-points from three starts. Worth a betting check on hurdles debut.

Fair stayer on the flat and made fine hurdles debut when second at Chepstow (2m1f) in October 2017. Not seen since so will require a betting check.

Point-to-point winner in Ireland. Rules form hasn't been the best under rules. Last of eight at Cheltenham last month and will need to step up markedly on that.

Promising sort. Runner up on bumper debut but bettered that with success at Uttoxeter (2m) in March. Not seen since but exciting sort and should be thereabouts.

Good third here on debut but disappointed on latest start at Ffos Las (2m) in February. Remains unexposed though and represents powerful connections.

Offered very little in novice races last term, finishing distant 11th before pulling up at Chepstow in January. Makes limited appeal.
Good form in points and made final start in that sphere a winning one. Changed hands for £72,000 since and is an interesting prospect.

Point winner. Shown some form in this sphere last season but returned to points with good second on latest start. Of more interest when in handicaps.

Forecasts

Eclair Surf (1/1), Not A Nail (9/2), Amateur (5/1), Kozier (10/1), Moroder (10/1), The Composeur (12/1), Megaudais Speed (33/1), Ede'iffs Elton (100/1), Troed Y Melin (100/1), Field Master (100/1), Our Idic Boy (125/1)

Verdict

ECLAIR SURF cost a small fortune after his point-to-point exploits and given the impressive nature of his last victory in that sphere, he has to be taken seriously and could be an exciting prospect for connections. The same can be said for The Composeur, who won on his last start in amateur company and remains unexposed, while the likes of Moroder and Not A Nail were promising bumpers but will need to step up over hurdles.
  1. Eclair Surf
  2. The Composeur
  3. Moroder
