Only newcomer in the field who cost €50,000 as a yearling. Evidently had his problems given he is making his debut at the back-end of his four-year-old season. Gelded ahead of debut, but wouldn't have to be a superstar to win this first time out.
Yet to score in nine runs on the flat, but has stronger form to his name than the rest of his rivals. Placed in a handicap over just further than this at Haydock (1m4f; heavy) when last seen on the flat. Major claims on AW debut.
Posted a trio of similarly quiet efforts in modest maidens, and looks set to play another minor role again unless there is significant improvement which looks highly unlikely. Of more considerable interest when entering handicaps.
Ran even worse than the market suggested (33-1) on debut when hopelessly tailed off on debut at Ripon (1m2f; good). Major improvement required for him to have any say in this contest. Best watched for the time being.
Posted a pair of very modest efforts on both starts to date, most recently at Kempton (1m4f; standard to slow) when he could never get involved. This isn't much easier, and so he cannot be fancied at all. Opposed.
Winless in seven starts but she looked to be steadily improving prior to running a very underwhelming race at Chelmsford (1m2f; standard) last month. Now has something to prove after that, and can only be given place claims at best.
Has an official rating of 30, and has shown zero improvement for the switch to the handicap ranks of late. Tailed-off in a low grade handicap at Musselburgh (1m4f; good to soft) last time out. Impossible to recommend.
Made no progress in a trio of outings in maidens. However, this represents a drop in class compared to the races she has been running in, which could see her finish much more prominently. Steps up to 1m3f for the first time. On the shortlist.

It is difficult to be too enthusiastic about most of these, and this contest represents a golden opportunity for ORMESHER to win at the 10th time of asking on the flat. This dual-purpose son of Sir Percy has achieved a fair bit more than all seven of his rivals, and provided he copes with this surface on his AW debut, he should take this comfortably. Connections must have seen something at home to keep the faith with Lexington Flair who has already been gelded ahead of his racecourse debut, but he should feature in this weak race. Mirabelle Plum can fare best of the rest as this is a drop in class in comparison to the three maidens she has contested to date.
