On a long losing run but has slipped to a good mark if adapting to the Polytrack. No obvious excuse when a beaten favourite last time, but still hard to rule out in a race as bad as this.

Last win came a year ago off 9lb higher. Has produced some good performances in defeat here and her last two runs suggest she is in better shape than most of her rivals.

Marginally behind The Lacemaker at Kempton when enduring a wide trip. Gets a pull in the weights and is better drawn here. Has to be a leading contender with the jockey booking adding to the attraction.

Remains a maiden following 16 starts and has really struggled in three starts since joining this stable. A hood is fitted this time but she remains easy to overlook.

Has won here in the past over shorter and poor on both starts since a fair second at Yarmouth in August. Others have more plausible chances.

50/1 when scoring here in 2018 and has just had five runs since. Appeared ready to strike soon when catching the eye last time and hard to dismiss in this company.

Brogans Bay35
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: J F Egan| T: S Dow| OR:  57

Produced a couple of good runs in August/September but was back to a more modest level last time. Has a higher weight to carry now and looks vulnerable as a result.

Out of form since returning from a break and his last win came 17 months ago off 22lb higher. Hard to fancy until producing a performance that promises better to come.

Gained reward for her consistency at Kempton when battling back gamely to score by a short-head. Up 3lb for that and no surprise if she proved vulnerable to a better handicapped rival.

Possible to argue she is well-handicapped but she has been out of sorts lately. Return to 6f is a plus but others have more convincing claims.

19-race maiden produced some good runs last winter off higher marks than this, but recent efforts are less inspiring. Dropped in class and down a further 5lb in the weights but hard to be convinced she can capitalise.

Halle's Harbourv29

Scored at Kempton in January and produced her best run since when just denied by Terri Rules there a month ago. Underperformed on only visit here and a 2lb rise in the weights puts her on a mark she's struggled with in the past.

Verdict

The Lacemaker and Phoenix Star are closely matched judged on their recent clash with the later making more appeal given a better draw this time. Terri Rules and Halle's Harbour were separated by a short-head at Kempton last month but both have been raised in the weights as a result. CATHEADANS FURY is a C&D winner who looks set to get the good pace to aim that she requires. Her latest run indicated she was approaching her peak and her current mark is within her range.
