Regressive sort in a number of starts toward the end of his time with trainer Tom Tate. Last of 13 on stable debut last month. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Forecasts

Gamesters Icon (2/1), Deinonychus (9/2), Luna Magic (9/1), Stormingin (10/1), Roudrapour (10/1), She's A Novelty (12/1), Bollin Ted (12/1), Don't Jump George (16/1), Bombero (20/1), Novelty Seeker (20/1), Spirit Of Sarwan (25/1), Western Dawn (25/1), Firby (33/1), Scrafton (50/1), Flight Officer (66/1), Glacier Fox (66/1)

Verdict

The early pace of the David Loughnane-trained Glacier Fox could set the finale' up for a battle royale between the tough and genuine Bollin Ted, Luna Magic, who has finished in the first two in seven of her eight starts for current connections since July and the mud-loving winner of her last three starts GAMESTERS ICON. The four-year-old can get the better of her nearest pursuers with conditions very much in the daughter of Sixties Icon's favour here. C&D winner Deinonychus should not be taken lightly, while Don't Jump George could go well at a price.
