Has won over C&D in the past and was second in h'cap hurdle here in December off mark of 120. Been busy onthe Flat this summer but hans't run well. Return to timber may rekindle enthusiasm but has questions to answer.
Won three selling hurdles this autumn between 2m2f-2m7f so clearly in good heart. Drop back in trip not an obvious plus but has caught the winning habit and young conditional claims useful 7lb.
Fair handicap chaser won at Worcester in August off 128 but not as good over hurdles and he yet to win over timber in this country, although did win twice in his younger days in French provinces.
Won twice on the AW earlier this year over 1m2f for Michael Appleby but hasn't looked a natural at this game in his three starts since joining current yard. Needs to take a big step forward to be competitive even at this level.
Won 2yo 6f event for Henry Spiller in 2017 but finished last in each of his four subsequent runs on Flat at up to a mile. Appeared not to stay 2m on hurdles debut at Stratford last month and is hard to fancy.
Shown next to nothing in four starts so far under Rules and appears to have a mountain to climb to get involved on evidence so far. Wears first-time visor.
Only win in 27 attempts came over 7f at Ayr in August 2017 when trained by Mark Walford. Beaten a long way in all starts under both codes since joining current yard earlier this year and can't be fancied.
Sprang a surprise at Worcester in August when winning a novice maiden hurdle at 16/1. Has run with credit on both starts since in handicaps so with 7lb claim taken into account appears to have every chance of going close in this company.
Nine-time winner but hasn't ht the target since way back in May 2016. Very long losing run despite coming down the handicap and drops to this grade for the first time after two poor runs at Ludlow so far this term.
Pulled up when tailed off in both starts under Rules in novice hurdles and although dropped in grade and having first-time blinkers applied, will have to turn it around big time if he is to even complete the race.

Forecasts
Ballyellis (8/13), Throckley (11/4), Candy Burg (5/1), Great Hall (7/1), Burrenbridge Hotel (10/1), Marju's Quest (20/1), Champagne Vintage (66/1), Manicman (66/1), Don't Do It (100/1), Initiative (150/1), Size Matters (150/1)
The majority of these are really struggling for form, but THROCKLEY has been running fairly well of late and off a light weight has solid claims to landing his second win in his last four starts. Top weight Great Hall is not out of it if on a going day and has run wel here in the past, and Ballyellis is at least in form having won three selling hurdles in recent weeks and should be thereabouts once again. Candy Burg looks best of the rest.
- Throckley
- Ballyellis
- Great Hall
