Prevailed at Wolverhampton (1m1½f) back in April. Was disappointing last time out over the extended mile at Wolverhampton as he could only finish eighth of 13. Drops down 1lb but others are preferred.

A C&D winner here but his form in 2019 has been poor. He was eighth of 13 on his latest outing at Chester (1m2½f) where he was in contention before weakening in the final 1f. Has to be respected off this latest mark.

A two-time winner on the AW last year but has been largely disappointing in his four runs in his campaign so far. He was 12th of 14 on his latest effort at Kempton (1m3f). Down 2lb but others appeal more.

Scored over this distance at Leicester back in June but has been unable to follow it up since. He did go close last time over this C&D as he was only denied by a short-head. Cheekpieces are on for the first time now. Big player.

Was successful over this C&D back in May. Switched yards in July and has not looked close to scoring in five runs since. He had just one horse behind him in a 14 runner field at Kempton (1m3f) last time. Down 2lb but needs to improve.

Broke his maiden at the first attempt last time out when he scored at Newcastle (1m2f) on his opening appearance on the AW. Has been raised 5lb for that success. Leading contender as he looks to follow up.

Lightly-raced gelding who scored at Yarmouth (7f) on his second run of his career. Has struggled since joining handicap company. He was seventh of nine here over 1m back in July. Set for his first run for his new yard. Best to watch for now.

Broke his maiden two runs ago at Bath (1m2f). Did not fare too badly last time as he was fourth of 10 at Kempton (1m3f), 1¾L away from the winner. Has gone up 1lb in the weights. Worth consideration.

Has scored at this course over trips between 7f-1m this year. Finished third of 10 here over 1m last out where he ran like he needed further. He remains off the same mark but is now up in trip. One for the shortlist.

Was a winner at Redcar (7f) on just the second start of her career. Her two outings since then have been respectful without success. She was third of seven last time at Yarmouth (1m). One to think about.

Was successful three times earlier this year but has struggled recently. She was a long way behind last time out at Wolverhampton (1m4f). Much more needed than she has produced of late.

Forecasts

Skerryvore (5/2), Amjaady (11/4), Harbour Vision (6/1), Champs De Reves (8/1), Global Art (9/1), Lady Dauphin (10/1), Cote d'Azur (12/1), Seven Clans (20/1), Millions Memories (25/1), Grand Inquisitor (33/1), Cafe Espresso (33/1)

Verdict

SKERRYVORE was staying on strongly at the finish last time when he broke his maiden at Newcastle. He can have more success here off this 5lb higher mark as there is likely to be much more to come from the gelding. Amjaady was unlucky last time out over this C&D as he was only a short-head away in second place. He should be in contention at the finish again, while Harbour Vision is worth including in your calculations as he has some good form at this track and is interesting at this new trip.
  1. Skerryvore
  2. Amjaady
  3. Harbour Vision
