C&D winner in the past. Made a belated return with good second at Chepstow after nearly a year off the track and still retains plenty of potential despite giving weight all round. Respected.
2017 Ebor winner. Starting to look like a spent force these days and ran to outsider tag at Ascot (2m) earlier this month. Looks like age is catching up with him.
Inconsistent sort despite being a C&D winner. Found the waters of the Cesarewitch too hot to handle last time (2m2f) but this is an easier contest and a good opportunity to bounce back.
C&D whose last win came at Sandown in July. Not beaten far in 2m York handicap on latest start but was never really on terms so a bit more will be needed.
Goodwood winner back in May and in and out of form since then, including backward effort at Lingfield over extended 2m last time. On a career low mark and capable if replicating best form.
Last win came at Brighton in August but folded tamely over 1m4f in a weakening seventh at Hamilton last month. Drastic step up in trip for this and looks to be stable's second string.
Made it two wins on the bounce - both at Chelmsford - in September but increased mark looks to stop his progression when eighth at Lingfield (2m) on latest start. May be in the handicappers grip now.
Has three victories to his name over C&D but not winning recently. Couldn't take advantage of dropping to a decent mark when 11th in 2m Lingfield handicap last time. Needs to put his best step forward.
Really likeable sort who rattled up a hat-trick with game success over C&D earlier this month. Up 5lb but thriving and in form so looks the one to beat.
Struggled since Lingfield victory in April and pulled away any of his chances at that track (2m) and weakened into 12th. Others make more appeal on current basis.
Chester winner in July but wasn't as good at that venue when seventh (1m7f) in August. Looks vulnerable to more progressive rivals in this.
Forecasts
Astromachia (11/8), Casa Comigo (11/4), Seinesational (7/1), Black Kalanisi (11/1), Age Of Wisdom (16/1), Gavlar (16/1), Knight Crusader (20/1), Conkering Hero (25/1), Tin Fandango (33/1), Nafaayes (33/1), Nakeeta (66/1)
The in-form CASA COMIGO is the preference to add yet another victory to his CV after an impressive performance over C&D last time. He is certainly on an upward curve and even the hike in the weights should not stop him. He receives over one stone from his nearest rival in Astromachia, who should fare well for the places if the 'bounce' factor doesn't prevail, while the likes of Seinsaitional and Age of Wisdom have good opportunities to bounce back after some regressive efforts.
- Casa Comigo
- Astromachia
- Age Of Wisdom
