Won a renewal of this in 2017 and produced a career best win when last seen at Chester in June. Handles testing conditions and could go close if fully tuned up.
Still 3lb higher than last win and ideally suited by better ground than this. Ran well last start but likely to find a couple too strong again. Stable won both renewals of this race in 2016.
On a decent mark and ran a very good third on soft ground over 5f here last start. Ground is fine but he hasn't really been suggesting he wants this step back up in trip.
Ran close to his best when headed late over 7f here on soft ground. Handles the conditions and the drop in trip is ideal. Can go close in a first-time visor.
Found the step up in class too much at Thirsk latest but after some progressive form he may be in the grip of the handicapper now. Unproven on heavy ground.
Beaten favourite last three starts following C&D win but proving consistent for new stable. Unsuited though on soft ground previously and this raises a question.
Won eased down over 7f on soft ground latest and has gone close previously on heavy ground. Up 7lb and in class but taken in isolation, his soft ground form is progressive. One to keep on the right side of.
Solid placed efforts in testing conditions the last twice and shaped as though 5f was on the sharp side ideally. No reason he can't go close again now up a furlong.
Won this race last year off 5lb higher and returned to form last start when just touched off late at Southwelll. Should be spot on for this and can go close.
Remains 4lb higher than last win but handles soft ground. Not quite at that winning level on her last three starts and will need to raise her game to win off this mark.
Forecasts
Airglow (3/1), Captain Jameson (9/2), Gabrial The Devil (5/1), Black Friday (5/1), Jewel Maker (9/1), Broken Spear (10/1), Six Strings (16/1), Zumurud (18/1), Quick Look (18/1), Dancing Rave (22/1)
Quick Look has tended to need the run in the past but as a previous winner of this race who handles the conditions is respected along with stablemate and last year's winner Airglow, who is running into top form after just being denied on the AW latest. Captain Jameson arrives in good form and is back over a more suitable trip but preference is for BLACK FRIDAY who won with plenty in hand last start and has plenty more to offer on this sort of surface.
- Black Friday
- Captain Jameson
- Airglow
